I am going to try to make this on a weekly basis. Basically, I’m going to go out, blog hop, read some blogs and if there’s anything that caught my interest, I will share it here. So here is the first issue of my reaching out to other bloggers.

• Silly Emoticons - I first saw these emoticons in GG-forums. If you want to include them in your blogger blog, you got to read this.
• Top 10 Transhumanic Technology - What kind of technology we have today? Very amazing!
• Nike Air Transformers - Look at these cool shoes! I have one shoe that is similar, Nike Free 7.0.
• Wely’s Why eat my booger - I don’t know if I’ll be grossed out or be entertained by this entry. It’s worth a read for some good laughter.

I also noticed that this week, most of the posts are about harry potter. Since I am not a fan of Harry Potter, I shall not post any Harry Potter stuffs here. But I am mentioning Harry Potter just to add keywords wahah sneaky bastard!

Just a few links for now since I have not been going around much this week. Been busy with my thesis proposal, deadline is now this Wednesday! OMG! haha ^_^

Earlier today when I woke up to check my blog, it was down. First it was due to an sql error but after a few minutes, the whole site is down. I can’t even log in into my control panel. I thought it was for my blog but when I checked pinoyblogero’s blog, it was down also. So it affected everyone who is under Philhosting.

What happened earlier Philhosting? What’s with the downtime?

This was an idea that struck me while I was eating dinner the other day. I am sure that you have heard of idioms such as “hitting two birds with one stone“, “a piece of cake“, and “actions speak louder than words“. An idiom is a figure of speech that means something different that it’s literal meaning. If you are interested to know more examples of idioms, you can check out the most popular idioms.

Did you know that idioms contains blogging secrets? Who would have thought that idioms could contain lots of blogging tips that one should know whether he is a new blogger or an old blogger. From gaining traffic, making new blogs and even up to making money, idioms has it all covered.

So now, lend me your ears as I share with you the secrets that these idioms contain.

• Rome was not built in one day
  • Wow! Bloggers are earning money from blogging! There are four, five and even six figure bloggers! I want to be like them and start blogging too. *Starts his own blog and starts putting ads on it* After a week, What the hell? Why have I not earned a single cent? I placed some posts, put up some ads and I still got nothing! Making money through blogging is a scam! *Quits blogging
  • This is especially for the aspiring bloggers who wants to make a lot of money through blogging. They expect that after a week or two in the blogging world, they would be rich and famous. It takes time for a blog to grow and constant effort to maintain it. If you were to read about the history of the big names in blogging, you would know that it took them some time (months) before they were able to stand out from the crowd. So is it possible to build a blog that will be very famous the day after it was created? Of course! But only when pigs learn to fly.
• Haste makes waste
  • So if I have one blog that earns $1 a day, what would happen if I build 100 more blogs? $101 a day! I’m going to be filthy rich! *starts to build 100 additional blogs* Yeah! Go forth my minions, give me my dollar! *after a few days* I don’t have enough time to manage these blogs and I have not earned anything from them. I’m abandoning them.
  • If you want to start blogging, start slowly. Do not blinded by the money you can make if you have more blogs. Building a lot of blogs in a short span of time will not only waste your time but sooner or later you are going to realize that you are not able to give enough time for these blogs to grow. I was chatting and surfing around the net yesterday when Karlo informed me about this, the top 10 emerging influential blogs in 2007.

How can I join?

All you have to do is choose ten or less blogs that are emerging to be influential blogs. The only criteria is that the blog should not be older than August 1, 2006.

What can I get from joining?

There will be a raffle for the people who join and ten will win $100. There is also an eyeball on August 1 to have a chance to meet and greet pinoy bloggers.

This will serve as my official entry to the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs in 2007.

It seems that my blog has a lot of errors when viewed in Internet Explorer. I did not know about this because I am always using firefox.

Thanks to the following people who have informed me of the bugs:

1. Karlo - for the double check-box in subscribe to comments when using IE. I thought he was just hungry since the bug does not show in Firefox. Status : Not Fixed
2. Fionixe - for pointing out that the text area in the comments section does not align correctly. Status : Fixed
3. Fionixe - for pointing out something in the comment redirection. I am still trying to experience this. Status: Not Fixed
