I have this problem on my blog and I’m hoping anyone can help me.

Does anyone know how to prevent google from indexing a specific wordpress page like for example, My Blog Stats Page?

Whenever I write some guides or “how to’s” especially on Blog Tech Tips and on Wordpress stuffs, I always include screen shots because I believe that a picture is worth a thousand words. I can understand something better if I see some visuals and I guess it would also apply to other people.

Anyways, yesterday, my friend Kirby from Kirbitz asked me:

What tool did you use when you had the screenshot of the pages for your last post? Please advise on this one. Ive been looking for good methods for this one but im still using the CTRL+Prinst screen and then edit at Paint.

Yesterday I told you that my blog is not optimized for search engines. In reaction to this, I looked around the web for some wordpress plugins that will aid me in making my blog more search engine friendly or optimized for search engines. After scanning the list of plugins at wp-plugins.net, I settled down on this plugin, All in One Seo Pack since the name sounds catchy hehe.

Well, aside from being catchy, I was impressed on what All in One Seo Pack can do for my blog. I admit it’s kind of labor intensive especially if you have a lot of blog articles, but I can say the efforts are worth it. Let me introduce you to the All in One Seo Pack plug-in.

When I was roaming around the blogs of other people, I would usually see them talking about SEO or search engine optimization. Since I can’t define it by myself, I will let google define it for me.

The altering of a Web site, Web pages and links to Web sites and Web pages to improve visibility, rank and relevance in the organic, crawler-based listings of search engines.

The best way to check if your blog is optimized for search engines or not is to do a search on your blog. For example I want to search in google so I will use this search query.

site:http://yoursite.com so for my blog it would be, site:http://silkenhut

Hi there everyone, it’s time yet again for my reaching out issue. I just noticed that the issue # can be used as an age indicator of my blog. I really wish that I could reach perhaps, Silkenhut reaching out issue 100 or more! That would mean my blog would be like uhh 100 weeks old or 700 days old! Wow!!! ^_^

Anyways, enough of my daydreaming and let me dish out the links for the week.

• 31 days to building a better blog - A goldmine of blogging tips for everyone! I like this project of Problogger. You can read and learn a lot of stuffs here. You can spend your whole day reading it and you won’t be able to finish all since new links are added almost daily.

There have been lots of discussion regarding the Carl Ocab blog. I realized that the link I posted last week was only looking at one side of the issue so I will refrain from adding links about it anymore. In other words, I won’t take sides on the issue. I’ll just blog silently here…. ^_^

I would like to apologise that my week’s blogging performance was pathetic. Inconsistent posting and weird posting times (some posted in the am, some in the pm). I wasn’t been able to manage my blogging time recently since I traveled to Iloilo, did some data gathering such as interviews and went back to Manila on the same week. It’s a bad blogging practice of not being prepared. Oh well, I’ll try best this week. ^_^
