• Paypal is now available in the Philippines (send and receive) - At long last, Philippines can now fully utilize all the features of paypal! This is great! I don’t have to use my Aunt’s account anymore hehe
• Two bloggers are always different - Mr Selaplana talks about why you should not compare two bloggers. I totally agree with his points.
• I’ve fallen for you review gets bashed by Kimerald fans - I’m disappointed of the quality of fans Kim Chui and Gerald Anderson have. Just try to read their comments on the movie review. Beware of the Kimerald Mob, say something bad about their “god” and you’ll get bashed.
• What can we get from blogging? - Karlo answers this question for us my friends!
• A new breed of comment spam - Jaypee warns us about a new breed of comment spam. They will ask you to pay them so that they will reduce the spam in your comments. Do not patronize these scammers. ^_^

For today, I’m just going be talking about three four main events/stuffs that’s been taking up most of my time this week. This will more of a personal post so my apologies.

I can’t connect to my CPANEL

This has been a problem that I just discovered two days ago. I can’t seem to connect to my CPANEL and the secure CPANEL leads me to a broken link. I can’t also connect to my webhost through FTP which I need in order to update my plug-ins and do the upgrade to wordpress 2.3. I’ve yet to email Philhosting for support on this matter.

Blog is down again

Just when I was typing this post, I went to check my blog to check my archives when I noticed that my blog is down once again. Oh well, I already lost count on how many times this happened. Should I curse them in every post I make from now on? It’s a good idea but I won’t do it. Instead of giving them more publicity, I’d rather look for better webhost. Read the rest of this entry »

When doing your upgrade to wordpress 2.3 , I suggest you test it out by first using a local copy on your computer.

NEVER DO AN UPGRADE ON YOUR SITE WITHOUT TESTING IT OUT LOCALLY FIRST. When you do it locally, you can still recover your local blog when something wrong happens.

Disclaimer: This guide will try to help you in your attempt to upgrade your existing blog to Wordpress 2.3. I do not claim that this guide will work for you 100% flawlessly but this is just how I did it. It is up to you if you want to continue reading however, please do not blame me when something goes wrong. ^_^

As of posting, Wordpress 2.3 has been official released five (5) hours ago. I was not able to report on it the moment it was released!!!

Before you upgrade, I suggest that you prepare your blog for the upgrade as some plug-ins may not be compatible with the new version and backups are always handy.
