I am tired of the constant downtimes Philhosting.net is serving their clients… Just today, my blog, other customers of Philhosting.net and even their own website of Philhosting.net was down… Downtime started early morning, perhaps 11pm yesterday up to 10am today..
What kind of service is this?
Their tagline, Affordable Solutions for everyone true…
but what about reliability?!
… I need to switch webhosts asap… haha any suggestions?

I just checked my stats a few minutes ago and I’m getting a super high CTR which lead me to conclude that I’m being attacked by somebody. Obviously, somebody wants me to get banned on adsense and I will not allow that to happen… So as of today, I’m going to disable all adsense ads on the blog (I only had 1 though haha) until I received a reply from Google about this. ^_^
You can ask help from google through the Google Adsense Help Center.
Update: I’m going to replace Google Analytics with FireStats so that I can check my blog stats better. ^_^

Wordpress by default has added No-Follow to comment links and trackbacks. That means that when Google crawls your website, it won’t go to the external links posted by other people on their comments. This has been a good way to be safe from spammers who go to your blog and leave comments that contains nothing else but a link to their spam sites.
Yatot and I was chatting one day and he suggested removing the No-Follow to give out some link love to my commentators. I thought about this and after a week (No, I did not spend one week just thinking about this hehe), I decided to change the No-Follow into Do-Follow. However, I don’t want just any link to be followed so I scoured around the web again to look for a suitable wordpress plug-in.
The plug-in I was looking for was Lucia’s Linky Love.

A few days ago I discovered that I have been linked on somebody’s post. When I read the title, I was surprised. Take a look at the post title below…

The post title has been written in Filipino language to disguise its intentions of cheating. “As thanks for linking up to your blogs, please click on the ads on top. You will lose nothing out of this. God Bless you.” (My attempt for the translation of the post title) I went to the said post and the ads that I see were Adsense ads. The post had no content but just links to other bloggers.
Basically, it’s like saying that we (other bloggers) owe him for linking us up and we have to repay him by clicking on his ads. Tsk tsk tsk… Not only is it illegal (check out PinoyBlogero’s post about the Adsense rules), it’s also thick-face (kapal ng mukha ..a better translation please haha).

This new update to wordpress was released 2 days ago (september 8 ) but I was not able to upgrade since I was lazy.
The latest version of wordpress is now 2.2.3. Upgrade now if you haven’t.
2.2.3 is a security and bug-fix release for the 2.2 series. Since this is a security release, we suggest you upgrade immediately. Two of the fixes are high priority.
If you want to know more of the technical stuffs on what has changed, please go see Mr. Jaypee’s post about Wordpress 2.2.3 security changes.
Download Wordpress 2.2.3 here and if you are running on wordpress 2.2.2, here are the files that you need to replace.
