People compete in the 2008 Olympics to bring honor to their country. This honor can be quantized as the amount of Gold, silver and bronze medals the Olympic Athletes bring home to their motherland.

For us, spectators, all we can do is watch the athletes battle it out in the olympic games and hope that they win so that they get medals. As a quick reference, I’ll be posting some sources where you can get a list of medal counts for each participating country.

I think he meant linking your page for the links to the medal standings sites. Anyway, I wish Filipinos well in the other events; we practically sucked in Shooting.

China is still on top of the rankings and it looks like they’ll stay there until the end of the Games.

Except for a few controversies, this year’s Summer Games is running smoothly. China has been piling up on the golds in the latest 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics Medal Count/Tally since day one. And the US and the rest are having a hard time catching up.

China may have won more gold than the US, but the US has more medals all around. Besides we all know that China cheated anyway. Those gymnasts are not 16 and they know it, but nothing will ever be done about it.
