Blog content clarifications and update on Marhgil Macuha Seo contest

Earlier today, my good friend Karlo told me that lately my blog was filled with Ragnarok related topics. I guess not only he was surprised but all of you. The question probably is, why did he change his niche from blogging related topics to Ragnarok topics?

The answer…

I did not change my blogging niche. Although I admit most of my posts lately were about Ragnarok, my focus is still what my tagline says which is:

Personal experiences in blogging. Includes blogging tips, technical blogging guides, wordpress, and SEO.

However, from time to time I post topics which are off topic and you can see some of them in the following categories:

• Seo Rich – The articles posted here are for ranking in search engines. Our goal here is to rank high in the search engine results so that we can bring in traffic to our blog. One example is the pinay s-candal post started by Marhgil Macuha.
• Current Events – The articles posted here are the selected currents events that are happening in the Philippines. I believe that as a Filipino blogger having a blog that serves information, current events in our country are necessary information that we need to know so that we can be aware on what’s happening in our country. (reminds me of social studies which I usually got low grades back in high school)
• Personal – The articles mentioned here are more of my personal rants, or something that I would like to share about my personal life. If I feel that I could be at ease by writing about it or I would like to hear your opinions on something, then I will write it here.
• Ragnarok – Now this is the new category I just made last week. At first I planned that this was to be placed in the category SEO Rich but I had so many topics to write about on it that I decided it deserves it’s own category. However, its goal is similar to the category seo rich which is to rank high in search engines while providing useful information. Since Ragnarok Valkyrie is a recently free to play server by level up games, there had been many people talking about it and I would like to capitalize on it.

So that’s my reason for that. Although I’m still concerned about your reactions on this sudden temporary change so if you have anything to say or something, please let me know.

My second update will be on the Marhgil Macuha SEO Contest. I joined this contest hoping that I could win the $150 cash prize if I am able to rank high for the keyword “Marhgil Macuha”. I realized that I will not win this contest since I still got much to learn search engine rankings. To prove that, I just checked my rankings and I’m nowhere in the top 10. In Google, I’m the 39th and in Yahoo, I’m 12th.

However, I will not give up. I may not win this contest but I will make this a challenge to myself. I will strive hard to learn all about SEO next year. Of course, what I’ve learned will be shared here in this blog. So watch out for that! You may want to subscribe to my feeds so that you will always be updated on my new posts.
