BlogRush - A new way to increase blog traffic
I’ve been hopping around on different blogs and I noticed a new trend in some blogs. They are adding this new thing called BlogRush. At first glance, it looks like a list of blog posts from different blogs. I was thinking, what is this for?
I also got an invite from Karlo.PinoyBlogero to join BlogRush last week. So I went to visit the website and try to learn about it.
What is Blogrush?
From my understanding, blogrush is a type of link-exchange where you show links from other blogs in exchange for showing your own links in other’s blogs automatically.
How does this work?
Every time you show the blogrush widget, you gain one (1) credit. This credit will be used to display your links (blog titles) in other people’s blogrush widget. For example, if I were to show the blogrush widget five times, my blog links will also be shown to other’s blogrush widget five times also.
How can this increase my traffic?
It can increase your traffic through added exposure to your blog. As long as your links (blog titles) show up in other people’s blogrush widget, you can count that as another exposure to your blog. Now what if that blog’s visitor clicked on your link, then you would have gained a new visitor to your blog. This is like having free advertising on other’s blogs.
So how do I start?
- You can start by registering an account at BlogRush.
- Then you will have to fill in your information such as Blog Name, Blog URL, Feed URL and Blog Category.
- After that, add the blog rush code to your blog to activate the blogrush widget.
- Sit back and relax. ^_^
Added Notes
- Joining blogrush does not guarantee that your traffic will increase dramatically but it increases the probability of more visitors due to more exposure of your blog.

i learned about this widget last week I think from Darren Rowse (problogger.net). I was able to watch the welcome video and so far I’m impressed. I don’t have time to register nor put the code widget on my blog. Maybe sometime.
BlogRush is still in BETA right?

Yeah! It’s just been a few days since this started so there’s still a big room for improvement. ^_^

It won’t count in technorati since it’s not like a backlink. It’s more of an advertisement though. In this case, you are advertising your links (posts titles) in other’s blogs.

iit seems a good idea but the most benefit will be for those who have frequent regular visitors.

Indeed those with more visitors will gain more credits but they can’t possibly use them all up at a specific amount of time. They will just be overflowing with excess credits I guess.
Since the only thing we need to do is to add the widget, then it’s worth a try. but if it doesn’t bring some sort of traffic to the blog, I’ll remove it. ^_^

Hmm basically you just have to sign up, put the widget on your blog and wait for visitors clicking on your post title’s in other people’s blog.
