Due to Marhgil Macuha’s $150 Mini SEO contest, a lot of bloggers have been posting like mad trying to optimize for the keywords “Marhgil Macuha“. I’m not an exception as this is my fourth post for that keyword.

However, my goal for this post is not to talk about “marhgil macuha” but I would like to teach you on where I got the screenshot for my search engine rankings. I think you will remember this image one of my previous posts.

Due to the blog downtimes I have encountered for this blog, I decided to look for a WebTool that will alert me whenever my blog is down. In that way, I can track the statistics and I can use this to complain to my webhost (hehe). So in my quest, I have found this webtool and…

Introduction to Host Tracker

I would like to introduce to you, HostTracker, A free website monitoring service. HostTracker will keep track of your blog’s uptime and downtime in a periodic interval. Joining HostTracker is easy. All you have to do is to enter your blog title and it will start tracking right away. You can opt to create and account so that you can track the stats and receive alerts.

HostTracker’s Features

HostTracker provides both free and paid services. The differences in between the paid and free services are:

  • Blog checking interval - Free accounts get their blogs checked every 30 minutes while paid accounts can get their blog checked every minute.
  • More URL’s to track - Free accounts are limited to two urls and domains only while paid can track more.
  • Uptime reports - Free accounts get their uptime/downtime reports weekly while paid accounts get theirs daily.

Looking at these three differences, personally I feel that a free account is already acceptable if you are just tracking a single blog like what I’m doing. Read the rest of this entry »

Introduction

I usually leave comments to blog posts/articles that I wanted to praise or to ask some questions. However, due to the numerous blogs I visit, I could not manually keep track which blog and which blog post I left a comment on to continue with the conversations. I consulted Google Search for this and found this webtool called, co.mments.

What is co.mments?

Co.mments helps you stay on top of the conversation by keeping you updated of new comments. Just bookmark, track and follow. (from their website)

This basically does what I could not do manually. Co.mments will keep track of the comments that you leave on blogs and notify you of any new comments.

So like, how do we use this?

Today, I noticed in my adsense reports that I’m getting another adsense attack just hours after I returned adsense to this blog. Whoever you are that’s clicking on my ads, thanks for always visiting my blog to check if my adsense is back or not. ^_^

I searched around the web for a solution in detecting click fraud since my current stat trackers, Wordpress.com Stats, Firestats and AWStats don’t show where the user clicked. My search resulted in my discovery of the Webtool called ClickAider. This post will serve as an introduction to ClickAider and will be written just like a FAQ.

What is ClickAider?

ClickAider is an analysis tool that helps publishers maximize revenues from Pay-Per-Click Advertisements. (ClickAider Homepage)

Basically, ClickAider is a webtool that will help you keep track of the clicks on your website. It claims that it can even track clicks on ads such as Adsense and YPN.

Do you need this?

If you are just like me who recently got attacked through adsense clicking, then you do need this. You would like to know who is attacking you right? You need a tool such as this that will try to track all clicks made and provide you with the time and IP address of the click origin. Using these information, you can report it to Google to defend your claim that you are not clicking your own ads or made someone else do it.
