One month to go and the people of the Philippines will be able to see the Eraserheads reuniting back together to host an Eraserheads one-night concert at the CCP grounds in Pasay.

It will be on August 30. It has been confirmed by Ely Buendia last July 13 (I’m so late!). This concert will be “sponsored” by Malboro, a company that produces cigarettes.

Free Concert Tickets Available

The concert tickets are free. Yes, you heard me, the eraserheads concert tickets are free! Well, I did some research and found out that you can get the tickets online by registering on the website called https://www.marlboro.ph/ACS/Main.aspx.

I visited the website and it seems that you have to be a smoker to join? What if you are not? Also, you have to be 18 years old. I find it very weird.

Eraserherheads concert to promote cigarette smoking?

Well, this has been the speculation of many since the “sponsor” of the concert is Malboro. Well, since the ban of cigarette smoking ads on the media, cigarette companies have to do something else to promote their product. I guess, this is one of the best way to do it legally. It started with a rumor which spread like wild fire to bloggers, then the mainstream media got hold of the news and later, they just confirmed it.

Well, just remember that you can watch the concert without actually smoking a cigarette so please don’t smoke. Just a simple reminder to those who smoke and who plans too.
