Google Adsense and the mandatory privacy policy page

Google adsense recently updated their terms and conditions for joining or being a member of adsense. One of these changes is the required Privacy Policy page. All members should have a privacy policy page or risk their account getting suspended.

So as a law-abiding citizen, I have also added a privacy policy to this blog of mine.  You can check it out by clicking here. I just patterned this from TothePc’s privacy policy page. It only takes a few minutes to copy and edit it so I suggest doing it asap.

Personally, I don’t see the effects of this new policy. Do people actually read this stuff? Actually, when I logged in to Google adsense and I saw this long piece of text, I just scrolled down and clicked, “I have read the blah blah blah…

But anyways, as publishers of Google adsense, we have no choice but to follow. So go and add that privacy policy page ASAP.

Thanks to Marghil for the heads-up and to tothepc for allowing us to copy his privacy policy page.

Lot of people do business without taking necessary precautions, but if you have a long term point of view, you need to register an LLC and have solid privacy and fair use policies in place. Keeps you safe and will also help you fight against someone who wants to exploit you.

Google adsense now requires publishers to have a privacy policy page. You can check out mine and pattern your privacy policy page on it if you want….
