How to add a new blog in Windows Live Writer?
I have been using Windows Live Writer for a while now for blogging and it has been a huge help for me when I’m writing my posts. It allows you to write your posts offline so you won’t have to worry about losing connection while writing (and sadly, losing all your progress). It also gives you this feeling that you are simply writing a word document with an interface very similar to MS Word.
For now, I’ll just write this quick guide on how to add a new blog in Windows Live writer.
Step 1: Go to options –> Accounts then click on Add. Choose your platform (I only have experience with WordPress)
Step 2: Input your account details such as blog name, user name and password.
Step 3: It will start analyzing your blog specifically your theme, categories and tags. I don’t know where to find the custom taxonomies yet.
Step 4: Optional Step – It will ask your permission if it can publish a temporary post so that it can download your theme.
Step 5: You are done. Just name your blog and after that, you can now publish on that blog. Although I noticed that I needed to restart the Windows Live Writer application so that it will show up in the drop down list of blogs.
So there you have it. A quick guide on how to add a blog in Windows Live Writer!
Till next time,
