How to enable Facebook Secure Browsing?

Check out the pic above! Have you noticed that instead of having this http://www.facebook.com, it has an extra “s” and it is now https://www.facebook.com? So what does that mean?
Having that “s” would mean you are browsing a secure website. This is evident in websites where you input very confidential stuffs such as credit card information and bank details. The data that you will be submitting (eg. username/password) will be encrypted before it travels into the world wide web. This would offer a level of protection for your account. If there is no “s”, anyone can see the data you will submit and they can use it to hack your account.
This is a good feature to add to your Facebook account so let’s enable it.
Go to this page.
www.facebook.com/settings?tab=security

and tick Secure Browsing

You are done!
Note:
There are Facebook Apps (especially games) that would request that you turn off secure browsing when you use them. I usually do not unless I really want to use that app. But in case you turn it off, don’t forget to turn it on again.
Till next time,
Allen
