How to Install Custom Firmware to your PSP guides

While thinking of something worthy to post, I thought of posting guides on how to install custom firmware to your psp. For some people, this is very easy but I still know a lot of people who have trouble updating their psp’s firmware so I hope my guides will be able to help.

Basics of Custom Firmware

I would like to assume that you know the following

  • difference between official Firmware vs custom Firmware
  • how to connect your psp to your computer
  • how to copy files from your computer to your psp
  • how to know your current psp version

I really hope you know these stuff so that in the guides I make, you will understand easier what I mean. I would also like to emphasize that I only support M33 custom firmware. Some people would release their own firmware (etc, Gen-a comes to mind) which would look more advanced that M33 but I do not support them so I will not write about them.If you want to install other custom firmware aside from M33, you can do so at your own risk.

So without further ado, let the guide writing begin and you will see them here on the blog soon. Don’t worry, I won’t post them on the top. This will be the post that you will see. I will post links to my other posts only just as not to flood you all. However, perhaps posting them on top is better. I can’t seem to make up my mind? What do you think?

As of posting, the latest custom firmware by M33 is 5.00 M33-6 CFW. Ok, let us get busy with our psp custom firmware guide.
