Goodbye Blogrush
After nearly 3 months of using blogrush in this blog, I decided to say goodbye to blogrush. My reason for doing so is because it wasn’t satisfactory enough for me. The traffic it brought to my blog was very little and not enough to compensate the space the widget is taking from my blog.

I know that perhaps the reason that the traffic I’m getting from blogrush is small because of my post titles. I even tried to look for a solution to that. I installed the wordpress plugin called Blogrush Click Maximizer. Basically this plugin creates another feed for you that you can use for blogrush. You can opt to choose which posts you like blogrush to get and have the option to make a more optimized post title to feed to blogrush. I used this plug-in to exclude my current events posts and other posts that I don’t want included so that my blogrush feed gets only relevant posts on blogging.

Here are my stats for blogrush.
For Firestats wordpress plug-in, it reported five (5) visitors due to blogrush for the month of November. No data available for the previous months.
For Google Analytics, I started it on November 5 and it reported five (5) visitors from blogrush. It is the same as what firestats reported.
For AwStats, here are my stats. September (8) , October (5) , November (6) , December (0) for a total of 19 hits.
So that’s it, there will be no blogrush here in my blog anytime soon. hehe
I said goodbye to BlogRush a long time ago. Ever since it was mentioned that it was against Adsense TOS. I never looked back.
I am trying out this new Entrecard widget. I think it’s a better alternative and it works. The amount of traffic you get is much more desirable than what you get from Blogrush. Although I have to admit. There are still downsides.
I’m thinking of doing the same thing myself. I don’t see any improvement with blogrush.
I’ve recently registered with entrecard and this looks more promising.
You did something right! Hehehe. I junked off my BlogRush last month, it’s not giving me enough traffic plus their widget sucks!
I’ve gotten over a hundred visitors from BlogRush. But the main benefit is not the traffic. Also, a bit of coding will help address the AdSense issue, as well as the “is the space I’m giving BR worth it?” issue.
You might wish to reconsider your decision about BR.
