Migrating Google Reader to Feedly
Since the announcement of the end for Google Reader, there had been searches on alternatives to Google Reader and I’m included in those searches. After reading several alternatives, I ended up with Feedly (http://www.feedly.com/home) because it was very easy to migrate.
The browser I use is chrome and you would need to install first the Feedly extension. (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hipbfijinpcgfogaopmgehiegacbhmob)
After that, all you had to do was to click on “Connect to Google Reader” then click “Allow Access”.
the next step? There is no next step, you can immediately see your feeds in Feedly.
Here are screenshots of the interface for you to check out
plugging Tsinoy Foodies hehe (I like the sharing buttons on top and there’s even a counter on how many G+1s and FB likes it has).
everything moves in a very fluid fashion!
It has different views for you to enjoy.
- Title View (like what you see in Google Reader)
- Magazine view
- Card view
- Full view (like what you see in Google Reader)
I like it! With 3 million new members, Feedly is really gaining from the demise of Google Reader. Well, as long as it keeps improving and adding new features, I won’t have any regrets.
Till next time,
