My Post Valentines Post

I should have posted this on February 15 after Valentine’s day but never got the chance. My maniana habit got the best of me so here is the post now after 5 days… ^_^How was your blog during Valentines?

Personally, my blog was very happy during Valentine’s day as it received a spike of visitors. Many of these people were looking for Valentine’s Quotes where I had a post since last year waiting for them. I admit that I did not do much optimization on this and even just made one post out of it. However, it was ok because what I usually earn in one month in Adsense, I earned in 1 day.

I really shouldn’t be that satisfied because I know I could have done better if I did something. I could have written more posts! I could have done some search engine optimization! I could have done this.. I could have done that… I should that crying over spilled milk because what’s done is done.

How was your real life Valentine’s Day?

I used to spend my valentine’s day alone because either I’m really alone or the one I want to spend it with isn’t available (she’s so far away from me). I even had a very bad Valentine’s day last year because I got sick on that day. Talk about being bed ridden on a day where people go out to celebrate the event.

However, this time it was different, this time it was special. It is all because I got to spend it with someone else. I’ve been keeping this a secret for a while and I hope my officemates doesn’t read this blog (lol). Well, I will still try to keep it a secret so I will just share our iteninary.

Before we met up, I’m still at home doing some things related to work. After we met up, we went to a mall after dropping my sister and her fiancee on her condo. I was expecting a super duper big crowd on that day but gladly, not all restaurants was filled up. I already had a place to eat in mind and lucky for us, it wasn’t that full. We just had to wait a few minutes to get seated. Sooooo we ate like pigs… and moving on…Ah yes, our meal wasn’t that expensive. It was just around $12-$14 for the both of us.

After that, we checked out the movie house and bought tickets. While waiting for the show, we just stood around somewhere talking to one another. Fast forward to the movie .. and fast forward again to the end of the movie. It was the last full show so most of the shops were closing or closed. So since we don’t have any place to go we left the mall and went home. However, before I dropped her off, we talked for a while in the car.

That is all! I did my best not to spill out any details hehe. As I think of it, it wasn’t so expensive and it did not have to an expensive date. All that matters is you get to spend time with that someone and be happy. It doesn’t matter if you just eat in the foodcourt, buy from street vendors or book an expensive dinner for two in a hotel. Many people really spend a lot on Valentine’s day especially the men but I refuse to follow the crowd. I don’t want to spend the rest of my February crying over how much I spent in one day that my budget was also crying with me. *end of little rant*
