Planning on leaving your dog’s fate with Cebu Pacific?
Let me share with you a blog post titled, “Our Dog Died on Cebu Pacific“. It is a story mixed with tragedy, exploitation, and negligence of Cebu Pacific Management.
Dog dies in tragedy – their dog was confirmed dead on arrival from their flight.
Cebu Pacific Exploitation – The owner was traumatized at the incident and was made to sign a document that read, “Goods received in good condition“. Even if the owners want to file a case against Cebu Pacific, they have this document ready in their defense. To add insult to injury, they offered PHP4000 for the death.
Negligence of Cebu Pacific – The person who allowed the dog to be on cargo resigned a few days after this incident and Cebu Pacific refused to help anymore as the person is not connected anymore with the company.
So for other pet lovers out there, before making your pets go on flights, please make sure that the airline you pick has policies for pets. I’m sure you’d rather pay more for insurance, handling and other fees than risk your pet’s safety and even their lives.
Update:
I checked the policies of Cebu Pacific, “http://www.cebupacificair.com/travel_regulations.html”, and stated under Prohibited Articles Section F, live or dead animals are not allowed. So please note that if you want to travel with your pets, Cebu Pacific doesn’t allow pets in their flights.
