Reader’s Digest Sweepstakes
I have received in my mail an envelope from BPI and Reader’s Digest about a sweepstakes.
I’m currently in the process of researching this for authenticity.
The first question was, is it true?
The envelope contains
- Cheque with a key (for the prizes)
- two return envelopes, a yes and a no
- a coupon for free PierCarlo D’ Alessio Camille Black Watch if I say yes.
- Raffle entries for a Sony Bravia TV and Cars
- and a generic letter from BPI and Reader’s Digest
I found the website about their sweepstakes faq here –> http://www.rdasia.com/sweepstakes-faq
and found some articles regarding the winners in the Philippine Daily Inquirer news paper. Both of these are very old though as they are the same article from 2009. The 2010 article won’t load for some reason.
I sent in my “Yes” envelope and was charged an amount on my credit card as of September 2011. However, until now, I haven’t received anything yet. I sent an email to firstname.lastname@example.org but nobody replied to that.
Did I just throwaway my money?
Nov 28, 2011.
Called up their customer service (632 533-7075)and was assured that they will send the missing magazines plus the free watches via courier. I didn’t get to finish my requests as the customer service representative just hang up. Are they that busy?
If you have more information, please let me know.
Till next time,
