Samsung Galaxy Y vs Samsung Galaxy Young
Have you heard of new phone called Samsung Galaxy Young? Ever since I first saw the Samsung Galaxy Y, I had the impression that the Y there meant Young. However, the will now change because Samsung has released the Samsung Galaxy Young (S6310) and it is different from Samsung Galaxy Y (S5360).
Here’s the comparison of their specifications.
|Samsung Galaxy Y||Samsung Galaxy Young|
|TFT capacitive touchscreen, 256K colors||TFT capacitive touchscreen, 256K colors|
|240 x 320 pixels, 3.0 inches (~133 ppi pixel density)||320 x 480 pixels, 3.27 inches (~176 ppi pixel density)|
|180 MB, 290 MB RAM||4 GB, 768 MB RAM|
|2 MP, 1600×1200 pixels||3.15 MP, 2048×1536 pixels|
|Android OS, v2.3.5 (Gingerbread)||Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)|
|830 MHz ARMv6||1 GHz|

As you see in hardware, the Young beats the Y at every specification. It’s already like Galaxy Ace Plus (or much better).
So from now on, Young and Y doesn’t mean the same phone.
