Sharp – 100 Years and the Sharp Anniversary Share Promo
Before I learned how to download mp3s, I would rely on cassette tapes and the radio to get my daily dosage of music. A sharp cassette player was my companion as I would spend my idle time (going to school, playtime, study time) pressing the play/stop/forward/rewind buttons to get the song I want. I also remember that we had a fat Sharp TV (correct term would be conventional) and I would sneak in to my parents room while they are at work to watch Cartoon Network and I channel.
As I look back, I’m remembering that I had a lot of memories with Sharp Electronics while growing up. It has kept me entertained through music and TV shows and also kept me cool via air conditioners.
Moving forward to now, I recently knew that Sharp will be celebrating their centennial year on September 15, 2012.
In line with Sharp celebrating their 100 years, they are also running an online campaign called Anniversary Share. Anniversary share aims to be a collage of people’s memorable moments and other important events of their lives such as anniversaries. Users will submit their photos and at the end of a campaign, it will combine all of these pictures into an anniversary share movie.
Anyone can join (but prizes can only be delivered to these countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, U.A.E.) and joining is very easy (just 3 simple steps).
- Select your memorable moment (can be a picture or a movie)
- Go to http://share.sharp100years.com and submit your entry. Write a good description of the memory while you are there.
- Agree to the terms and conditions and submit!

Prizes at stake:
- Trip to the West Coast, USA. – Two pairs (four people) out of all applicants will be selected.

Everyone has their own memorable moments in their lives and I’m sure you have yours too. As I browsed through the different entries, I couldn’t help but smile at the different occasions that have made an impact to their lives.
