Transferring my domain out of Philhosting

Transferring my domain out of Philhosting

For the past few days, I’ve been searching for a good domain name registrar so that I can get out of Philhosting and today, I finally decided on one and started the transfer.

This would complete my full exit from Philhosting. It has been around two years since I transferred webhosts out from them and this year, I decided to transfer my domain out of them also.

I would like to thank Philhosting for all these years in using their services. I know it hasn’t been a great relationship as I was ranting like hell about their hosting problems before but still, as my first hosting provider, I owe them at least a thank you.

Well, the domain transfer has started and hopefully it would not have any effect on the blog. Wish me luck 🙂

To transfer out of Philhosting, you will have to ask them to provide you with the “authorization code” that you new registrar will use to initiate the transfer. Just create a support to them and they will reply.

  1. Namecheap is a great registrar for cheap.

  2. I’ve heard bad news about Philhosting but you’re right, a thank you is deserved 😀

My friends have suggested They are one of the cheapest and best (in accordance to reviews).

    • yes, they had problems due to their downtimes but aside from that, they have nice prices. Thanks for the suggestion of fatcow, il check it out. 🙂

  3. I did too. Glad i’m out of their clutches.

  4. how do you change domain providers? im also registered via philhosting and would like to transfer to godaddy since im using blogger anyway. do i call philhosting? what is the process? thanks in advance 🙂

  5. yes, need help. really want to transfer my domain out of philhosting. how do i get the authorization code that godaddy requires to transfer my domain name from philhosting? it is extremely difficult to get any feedback from philhosting even with their online support which i never heard back from. please let me know what to do!

    • you need to create a support ticket to them asking them for the code to release your domain. This is needed for other registrars to transfer your domain from philhosting to theirs.

I’ve been sending support tickets and emails requesting for a transfer but haven’t received any reply from philhosting, what if they won’t give me the code? is there anything I could do? what if they just ignore my emails and support tickets?
