Why I want to Visit Guam?
The first time I have heard of Guam was in history books when it was mentioned in the Spanish Era and the US / Japan War. Aside from that, I just know that it is an island and a part of the United States of America. As you can see, I have limited knowledge about it so what’s the best way of knowing about a place than to experience it first hand?
Well, that’s what I’m going to answer in this question, “Why do you want to go to Guam and what would you want to do in Guam if you won the trip package?”.
I want to go to Guam to know more about Guam especially since it is connected somehow in our Philippine history. I want to know the specific historic spots where this or that person stepped on or any remnants of the war. I’m not a history geek but I was really fascinated when I saw these relics at Pearl Harbor and Corregidor.
Moving to the present Guam… I read that since Guam is an island, it is home to a lot of water sports and activities and also water parks. Here’s a list of places that I would like to visit in Guam
- Fish Eye Park – you will be going underwater (holes caused by bombs) and see lots of coral reefs and fishes, a ooohhh aaaahhhh moment of peace and tranquility.
- Underwater World – similar to Fish Eye Park, you will also go underwater to see some diverse marine line.
- Atlantis Adventures Guam Submarine Tours – Now, who doesn’t want to experience riding a submarine? I have only seen some remains but this is the real thing and it is functional.
- Any Golf Course – since I haven’t been in a real golf course before and Guam has a lot of these.
Aside from these, I’m also interested in doing some water activities such as diving and snorkeling but the priority would still be on the places mentioned above.
