The host of ABS CBN’s noontime show, Wowowee, Willie Revillame has either filed a leave of absence or was suspended for his remarks on the showing of Cory Aquino’s funeral in the noon time show. What do you think about this?

What did Willie do?
Willie ordered to remove the insertion of Cory Aquino’s live funeral in the show Wowowee as he deems it not appropriate for his show. His claims that his show is to make people happy but how can he do that if a video of such sadness (burial of someone) is being shown alongside with him?
How did the people react?
People see this as utter disrepect and call for his suspension / removal / of all those Willie stuff from the face of the planet.
Typical stuff you see on Philippine News. You do something and people don’t like it, expect that people will calling for your immediate removal from the face of television or newspaper… which ironically does the opposite. This will most likely boost the number of people searching for news on Willie Revillame Suspended.
It seems not only Willie Revillame was suspended but also the noontime show Wowowee but why did I see the show earlier today? Yes, it was not hosted by Willie anymore but by Pokwang.
I wonder what will happen to this soon but it will just die out sooner or later just like Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili’s scandal. It starts out strong then people move on to the next chismis or controversy. That’s life.

I thought all along that there is something askew about the rating of this show. It’s supposed to be a wholesome family entertainment however, how come sexy, girating women seems to be the staple of this show? The games, the singing, the prizes are alright. But the beauty contest, and sexy girls seems out of place considering that youngsters seems to be present.
