Wordpress 2.7.1 Released
Wordpress 2.7.1 has been released last February 10, 2009… This release of Wordpress 2.7.1 resolves 68 tickets (wow that is a lot).
I am still going to try the new feature of wordpress which is automatic upgrade because I usually use the Wordpress Automatic plug-in. However, since upgrading to 2.7, I could not use it anymore because of a fatal error when using it.
Well, it’s time for me to experiment and I’ll post up my results on it when I have successfully upgraded my blog. Remember to make a back-up of your files and more importantly, your database before you do any upgrades. You don’t want to cry later if something goes wrong.

I have been meaning to upgrade and try out the automatic upgrade option, but I want to back up my databases first, so I have been putting it off…

@Porch Lifts, I use a wordpress database backup plug-in that sends me a backup of my database everyday. I miss the wordpress automatic plugin where not only it upgrades your wordpress in 1 click, it gives you a backup of both your files and database

I’ve totally given up updating wordpress. Seems like they have a new update every other day. So does this automatic uprade option mean that you don’t have to do anything, and your wp version gets upgraded all by itself?

hmm I believe, this upgrade is similar to one click upgrade where you just click and it will download the files, upload them to your host and upgrade it automatically. ^_^
