How to Load your GCash from BPI?

Loading your GCash via BPI is a simple process and there are several ways for you to do it.

These are the ways for you to load your GCash from BPI. You can do it via the BPI Mobile App or the GCash App. We will cover all of these so that you can decide which would be convenient for you.

  1. BPI Mobile App – Bank Transfer (Instapay)
  2. BPI Mobile App – Load E-Wallet
  3. GCash App – Cash-in via BPI

Load GCash Using BPI Mobile App (Bank Transfer)

BPI Mobile App - Bank Transfer / Instapay

The steps are the same as when you transfer to another bank where GCASH is the bank name.

  1. Login to your BPI Mobile App
  2. Go to Transfer Money > Transfer to Another Bank
  3. Bank should be GCASH
  4. Account Number is your GCASH Mobile Number (09XXYYYZZZZ)
  5. Account Name is your GCash Name (Not sure if this matters but just write the correct value)
  6. Process it via OTP or BPI Mobile Key
  7. Receive money in your GCash Account

This will cost you PHP 50 but it has been waived until further notice. You will be receiving an email notification with the subject of “Interbank Funds Transfer Confirmation” and it will show up as “3445 EOL/MOBILE BNKG TRANSFER” on your BPI records.

This is an alternative way to load your GCash.

  1. Login to your BPI Mobile App
  2. Go to Load EWallet
  3. Load to GCash
  4. Reference Number is your GCash Mobile Number (09XXYYYZZZZ)
  5. Process it via OTP
  6. Receive money in your GCash Account

As of now, there’s no service charge but this might change in the future. You will be receiving an email notification with the subject of “GCash Loading Confirmation” and it will show up as “3448 EOL/MOBILE BNKG PAYMENT” on your BPI Records.

Load GCash Using GCash App – Cash-in via BPI

Cash-In via the GCash App

This requires that you have linked your BPI Online Account to GCash. Once your account has been linked, it should make the cash-in quick. Only do this if you are comfortable with that idea.

  1. Login to your GCash Account
  2. Go to Cash-in and click on BPI as part of My Linked Accounts
  3. Enter the amount and select which BPI account as your source
  4. Confirm and enter the OTP that BPI will send to you
  5. Receive money in your GCash Account

This service is free! You will be receiving a text notification that your cash-in is successful.

Personal Experiences

I have tried all three and I prefer cashing-in from GCash directly. It is free and I don’t have to switch applications.

How about you? Which method do you prefer? Tell me about your experiences as well.

Till next time,

Allen
