  • Are you wondering how this person got your number / contact details?
  • Are you curious on what the real deal is with Synergy One International or Synergy Global International and why I bother blogging about this?

Ok, if you answered yes to any of those questions above then allow me to give you information about Synergy Global International.

What is Synergy Global International? What is Synergy One International?

If you will do a search about this, you will find blogs that speak ill of these companies. Well, after all they have gone through I won’t blame them. But for the sake of knowledge, let me tell you about them.

Synergy is actually a “company” that is located at 15th floor Octagon Building, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Pasig City. They are a company that promotes healthy and beauty products and are related to NuSkin. Well, aside from selling these products, they have another line where you can join as an affiliate and be a seller of their products.

Now as affiliates, not only do they sell products but they also sell “membership” to other people to be affiliates too. The membership fee is expensive and almost 1/2 to 1 month salary of other people and because of that, people will be reluctant to buy. That is why; they will resort to other methods to convince you.

Did a stranger contact you offering a large amount of compensation?

Imagine this, one day you are living your life and enjoying it when you suddenly get contacted by someone you don’t know. Here is a short script of what they will tell you.

Caller: Hi there, I’m blah blah blah and I heard from a friend that you are hard-working, talented and goal-oriented (insert more praises here). I have a job offer / interview with you that will make you earn at least PHP 5-15k on your first month! Would you like to join XXX?

At this point, your good nature will kick in and you will try to entertain him/her because he just praised you a lot. But you will also be curious to know more about XXX because I’m sure no one wants to go or venture into something they don’t have an idea about. So you will probably ask more about them and their company.

Caller: Oh the details are hard to explain over the phone. How about, instead, I’ll give you a personal invite to go to 15th floor octagon building and there you will know everything about us.

Now it depends whether you will agree to them or not. Basically, their next line to make you commit will be like this.

Caller: Ok, I will set a personal meeting with you at (insert date here) 7pm sharp. You know, you sound very professional so you will not bail out on this. I’m actually canceling my other meetings so that I could accommodate you.

and the praises will go on until you will finally agree to go with them.

15th Floor Octagon Building

This is the so called headquarters of the members of Synergy. Usually when they contact you either through phone or by text messages, they are going to say, “It’s hard to explain over the phone or through text, just go to 15th floor Octagon Building and you will know more about us“. You won’t be able to get much information about them because they will not tell you anything except that you have to go that place to know what exactly they are offering you, what you are going to do or what the hell they are talking about.

Now what can we expect from here?

Well, first of all, I’m sorry to say but you will not get a job interview here. Were you even asked to bring your resume?

What you will get from here is a long 2 hour video presentation about their company (similar to onboarding processes of companies). The presentation will contain their products, their goals, what you can possibly get from them, what you can earn and some pictures of their successful members. And of course, after that, their executives will try to talk you into joining and paying a membership fee for the training materials.

The fee, well, it’s not that expesnive. It’s jut PHP12,600 and since you can earn 5-15k on your first month, it’s like free money right? Well, before you agree with my statement, did you ever question on how you can earn that? So far, all you know is you can have the potential to earn that much but HOW?

By recruiting others, you will earn

I’m not so sure if you are familiar with affiliate marketing but if you are not, let me give you a quick overview. Companies are always looking for people to promote and spread the word about their product. They know that people won’t usually do this for free so they offer commissions to people to sell their product. The concept of commissions is if you are able to sell something, the company will pay you. So the more you sell, the more you earn. If you don’t sell, you don’t earn.

Actually, this is how they operate. You will get to sell products and you earn commission on them. But the bulk your income is when you can sell memberships to non members. So you need to invite a lot of people, make them go through the 2 hour long presentation and be able to convince them to shell out PHP12k so you can make a sale and get your commissions. That is how you can earn 5-15k a month or more.

Recruitment Strategies

Now that you know what you have to do in order to earn, I’m pretty sure that you won’t tell someone you are inviting that you are simply inviting them so that you can make a sale out of them and earn commissions. Instead, you will simply hide the word recruitment and replace it with words such as, job opportunities, big money earning potential, thinking for the future, easy money and other phrases that can get people to bite.

So how do you do this?

  1. First, start by getting a lot of contacts that you can contact then starting contacting them.
  2. You have to start the call by using praises about them even if you don’t know them. Tell them that they are DEDICATED, HARDWORKING, GOAL ORIENTED, HANDSOME, and GULLIBLE. Tell them that you got your info from a friend, headhunter, friend of a friend or even from your dog.
  3. Now if they start asking questions, try to change the topic or simply tell them that it is easier for a horse to fit inside the head of a needle than for you to answer their inquiries over the phone or through text. Tell them that it is very complicated however…
  4. You are supposed to be a busy man (remember you have to call a lot of people) so simply invite them over to 15th floor Octagon building so that all their questions will be answered. No more, no less! Remember that, the less they know about your company and what your ultimate motive is, the better.
  5. Since you are a terribly busy man, you should tell them that you are giving them an opportunity to earn a lot of money and you are doing your best to sacrifice time from your busy schedule just to give them this (make them feel important and loved). Your goal here is to make them commit into coming to your base!
  6. If they say yes that they will go, you have to ask all your fellow members to help you make him shell out his cash when he is already at your base. Make sure that when he leaves the 15th floor octagon building, he has lost 12k or you have his word that he will join and pay up.
  7. After the deed is done, smile and repeat again from step one. Easy money baby!

I apologize that it’s a bit generic and there are people smarter than me who can do better than that but basically, for most of them, that is their strategy. Synergy One International | Synergy Global International icon smile

Bloggers have been through these

Remember at the start of this post where I mentioned that if you search about this in search engines, you will find negative blog posts about Synergy One International or Synergy Global International? Well, that is because the members made a mistake by trying to recruit bloggers. Why would it be a mistake? It is because, bloggers have blogs and blogs can be read by anyone on the world wide web. Simply add a dash of SEO and bloggers can rank first in search engines.

So just a piece of advice, if you want to recruit bloggers, make sure that you get them to commit else you will then see your name and your number of the search results labeled as a scammer. ^_^

Die Hard Members

Now after discussing bloggers, let us discuss the die hard members. Of course, the internet is for everyone and not just for bloggers so we also have die hard members. They are the ones who will usually go to the blogs of the bloggers who posted negative stuff and start insulting them, telling them they know nothing and they should just shut up. They will pick a fight with any body using their poorly constructed English sentences and their superior, I’m rich and you are not, ego personality as weapons. In a nutshell, they wish to protect their plans and their potential victims of gaining too much knowledge that they will get rejected when they invite. So they simply troll around.

If you join, will you be really earning?

Well, success is relative to your effort. For example, in regular 8-5 jobs, if you don’t strive hard or do your best, you won’t get bonuses or promotions so you will not be earning much. It is the same with affiliate marketing, you can’t just sit down and wait for money to come rolling in. You have to strive hard to get as much commissions as you can so that you can earn. Affiliate marketing is not a fixed source of income. Your income is proportional to the effort you are giving it so your success depends on you actually.

Conclusion

I thank you all for reading this very long write-up of mine and I hope you have learned something. I would like to clarify that I never mentioned in this post that Synergy One International is a scam. I hope you have read everything to agree with me that it is their recruiting strategy that is very questionable and very deceptive.

For those who have been invited, after reading this, I hope you will make the right choice and you will not regret it. If you wish to join, go ahead and may you be successful. If you don’t wish to join, then good for you. Think of the opportunity they offer you as a gamble.

For the members of Synergy reading this, well, if you want to insult or bash me by writing this post, go ahead. I will not stop you nor moderate your comments.

For my fellow bloggers, I hope you will spread the word about this and let everyone in your niche know more about this so that they will be informed on stuffs like this.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this. Have a great weekend everyone! Synergy One International | Synergy Global International icon smile

Update: Ah! If you want to read more personal experience with Synergy One International or Synergy Global International, I recommend you visit the blog titled, Beware of NuSkin. It is a blog created to spread the word of their deceptions because a fellow Filipino flew from Mindanao to Manila hoping to get a decent job but got something else instead.

  1. shettt…kakatawag lng sakin knina nito, kala ko tech support/help desk job…eh nghahanap p nmn ako ng job nowadays…buti nakita ko tong blog n to…thanks to the blogger & all involved in this thread…

  2. I also had the exact thing done to me two days ago.

I received a call that a Biotech company based in Dubai is in need of a Financial Planner. (which was a big fat lie) The opportunity sounds very attractive and promising! So, I got excited that this very nice offer just landed on my lap. The person who called me did not introduce herself properly. She did not state the exact name of the company, despite of me asking her about it for 4 times in the duration of the call. She seems to be in a rush, vague, and she muffled all of the details. She seemed like she was speaking in gibberish. She looked like she was concealing something –it was all very fishy and suspicious.

She told me that they are looking to give me a job for a project for this certain Biotech company in Dubai. She asked me to bring my valid ID, a copy of my resume and to show up in corporate attire at 6:30 PM.

I was like, “What? Are you kidding me? A job interview at 6:30 PM? Do I look like a freaking hooker to you? What company from hell conducts a job interview in the evening?”

To cut the story short, I showed up: with a valid ID, a resume and in corporate attire. I was curious, I always have been. I am old enough, logical and I can take care of myself.

Before I headed to The Roof Deck of the Prestige Tower along Emerald Avenue in Ortigas, I texted her, asking for the name of the company again. She told me it was “S1 Group”. (which is clearly another lie.)

Off I went to the Roof Deck of Prestige Tower. I was greeted by my contact person named Phoebe Reyes. She looked eager to please and enthusiastic — the kind that makes people really uncomfortable.

I was 30 minutes late. She quickly gestured me to enter the air conditioned room. The room was filled with speakers. There was a slide show, a video presentation and all that jazz. It is obvious that they really invest in these “meetings”. I was waiting for Phoebe (or anyone, really) to ask for my resume. But no one did.

A lot of people in the audience seemed persuaded. The man sitting beside me was taking down notes during the entire talk. Most of us, were fresh graduates looking to find better work opportunities for ourselves. There were adults too: some stay-at-home moms, people from the provinces and some out-of-work middle-aged men.

The speakers seemed really trained to say the right stuff. They keep tossing these emotional-grabbing and misleading symbolisms that were designed to convince people of the promise of easy money. It was all smoke and mirrors.

After that, we were asked to go back to our contact persons and to ask them about our concerns. I asked her how she got my contact details. She nervously paused for a while and told me that they have a database. I did not ask any further, I already knew the real answer from her response. I also asked her, if we are going to all be employed and if they are employed or even directly associated with NU Skin and Pharmanex? She vaguely replied, “This is a side project of those companies. We need leaders like you.” Then she handed me out a form, asking me to write the mobile numbers of my friends. I only wrote one, my old and unused mobile number. I reasoned that my cellphone is new, and my contacts are not yet listed.

Phoebe got the impression that I was not an ounce convinced. So, she quickly led me to the elevator and told me to meet her again for coffee during the weekend with some of the other “trainers” (aka stupid-ass scammers). She also told me to Google the company of NU Skin, Pharmanex, etc. (She told me this, because the first results on Google are all about made-up websites and blogs defending the NU Skin scam. The real blogs of the scam victims were pushed back too pages 9 and 10 of Google.)

I politely told her that I will check my schedule and get back to her and hurried home.

This is a warning to everyone who is in the middle of this NU Skin ponzi-scheme.

  3. [CONTINUATION]

They say this is not a pyramid scam? THINK AGAIN, and think hard. LOOK AT THE STRUCTURE. Look at it objectively. Ignore their sophisticated symbolisms, empty promises of instant wealth and their sweet words. LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE. Always.

I want to emphasize that they lied to me about:

    1. The promise of a job opportunity.
    2. The name of the company.

They lure jobless but educated people, fresh grads, students, people from the provinces looking for work opportunities in Manila, stay-at-home moms and jobless middle-aged people. They lure people who are desperate, gullible and naive. They take advantage of these people’s weaknesses.

Their overall intent is to DECEIVE. They resort to incredibly low and desperate means to get you to pay them Php 13,600. Their main target is to milk innocent and unsuspecting people of the money that they do not have.

This unethical business practice should be banned. It is a mean-spirited thing to do to people who have honest intentions and for people who make an honest living. There should be laws protecting us against these businesses who make profit by feeding people lies.

Lastly, DO NOT TAKE THIS OFFER. The reasons are:

    1. You will not be proud of yourself, what you are doing, and what you have become.
    2. Your friends and relatives will avoid and be bothered by you consistently trying to milk them of money that they do not want to spend.
    3. You will hate yourself for being a dumb sucker and falling for this scam.
    4. THIS IS NOT A CAREER. Peddling people lies is NOT a career.
    5. This is not a noble and respectable thing to do with your life. You will live a life without a sense of dignity.

I am sure there are many more reasons, but this is all I can come up with.

I actually feel bad for the unsuspecting suckers who threw away 13K for the promise of easy money. I sincerely wish them all the best in life and I hope that they will soon live a life of dignity and respect.

If you have come this far in reading, I hope you will make the right decision. The right decision is always the decision you are happy with.

By the way, the details of my contact person for NU Skin is below:
    Name: Phoebe Reyes
    Mobile Number: 09154209058
Alma Mater: De La Salle – College of St. Benilde
    Major: BSBA Export Management

…so that you will know who to avoid out of the thousands of NU Skin scammers littered across the archipelago.
