Synergy One International | Synergy Global International

Please take time to read if you answer yes to any of the questions below

  • Did you get a call from a stranger inviting you to a sideline that could make you earn a lot of money at home?
  • Did you get invited to have an interview / job offer at 15th floor Octagon Building?
  • Are you wondering how this person got your number / contact details?
  • Are you curious on what the real deal is with Synergy One International or Synergy Global International and why I bother blogging about this?

Ok, if you answered yes to any of those questions above then allow me to give you information about Synergy Global International.

What is Synergy Global International? What is Synergy One International?

Do a search about this, you will find blogs that speak ill of these companies. Well, after all they have gone through I won’t blame them. But for the sake of knowledge, let me tell you about them.

Synergy is actually a “company” that is at 15th floor Octagon Building, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Pasig City. They are a company that promotes healthy and beauty products and are related to NuSkin. Well, aside from selling these products, they have another line where you can join as an affiliate and be a seller of their products.

Now as affiliates, not only do they sell products but they also sell “membership” to other people to be affiliates too. The membership fee is expensive and almost 1/2 to 1 month salary of other people and because of that, people will be reluctant to buy. That is why; they will resort to other methods to convince you.

Did a stranger contact you offering a large amount of compensation?

Imagine this, one day you are living your life and enjoying it when you suddenly get contacted by someone you don’t know. Here is a short script of what they will tell you.

Caller: Hi there, I’m blah blah blah and I heard from a friend that you are hard-working, talented and goal-oriented (insert more praises here). I have a job offer / interview with you that will make you earn at least PHP 5-15k on your first month! Would you like to join XXX?

At this point, your good nature will kick in and you will try to entertain him/her because he just praised you a lot. But you will also be curious to know more about XXX because I’m sure no one wants to go or venture into something they don’t have an idea about. So you will probably ask more about them and their company.

Caller: Oh the details are hard to explain over the phone. How about, instead, I’ll give you a personal invite to go to 15th floor octagon building and there you will know everything about us.

Now it depends whether you will agree to them or not. Basically, their next line to make you commit will be like this.

Caller: Ok, I will set a personal meeting with you at (insert date here) 7pm sharp. You know, you sound professional so you will not bail out on this. I’m actually canceling my other meetings so that I could accommodate you.

and the praises will go on until you will finally agree to go with them.

15th Floor Octagon Building

This is the so-called headquarters of the members of Synergy. Usually when they contact you either through phone or by text messages, they are going to say, “It’s hard to explain over the phone or through text, just go to 15th floor Octagon Building and you will know more about us“. You won’t be able to get much information about them because they will not tell you anything except that you have to go that place to know what exactly they are offering you, what you are going to do or what the hell they are talking about.

Now what can we expect from here?

Well, first of all, I’m sorry to say but you will not get a job interview here. Were you even asked to bring your resume?

What you will get from here is a long 2 hour video presentation about their company (similar to onboarding processes of companies). The presentation will contain their products, their goals, what you can possibly get from them, what you can earn and some pictures of their successful members. And of course, after that, their executives will try to talk you into joining and paying a membership fee for the training materials.

The fee, well, it’s not that expesnive. It’s just PHP12,600 and since you can earn 5-15k on your first month, it’s like free money right? Well, before you agree with my statement, did you ever question on how you can earn that? So far, all you know is you can have the potential to earn that much but HOW?

By recruiting others, you will earn

I’m not so sure if you are familiar with affiliate marketing but if you are not, let me give you a quick overview. Companies are always looking for people to promote and spread the word about their product. They know that people won’t usually do this for free so they offer commissions to people to sell their product. The concept of commissions is if you are able to sell something, the company will pay you. So the more you sell, the more you earn. If you don’t sell, you don’t earn.

Actually, this is how they operate. You will get to sell products and you earn commission on them. But the bulk your income is when you can sell memberships to new members. So you need to invite a lot of people, make them go through the 2 hour-long presentation and be able to convince them to shell out PHP12k so you can make a sale and get your commissions. That is how you can earn 5-15k a month or more.

Recruitment Strategies

Now that you know what you have to do in order to earn, I’m pretty sure that you won’t tell someone you are inviting that you are simply inviting them so that you can make a sale out of them and earn commissions. Instead, you will simply hide the word recruitment and replace it with words such as, job opportunities, big money earning potential, thinking for the future, easy money and other phrases that can get people to bite.

So how do you do this?

  1. First, start by getting a lot of contacts that you can contact then starting contacting them.
  2. You have to start the call by using praises about them even if you don’t know them. Tell them that they are DEDICATED, HARDWORKING, GOAL ORIENTED, HANDSOME, and GULLIBLE. Tell them that you got your info from a friend, head hunter, friend of a friend or even from your dog.
  3. Now if they start asking questions, try to change the topic or simply tell them that it is easier for a horse to fit inside the head of a needle than for you to answer their inquiries over the phone or through text. Tell them that it is very complicated however…
  4. You are supposed to be a busy man (remember you have to call a lot of people) so simply invite them over to 15th floor Octagon building so that all their questions will be answered. No more, no less! Remember that, the less they know about your company and what your ultimate motive is, the better.
  5. Since you are a terribly busy man, you should tell them that you are giving them an opportunity to earn a lot of money and you are doing your best to sacrifice time from your busy schedule just to give them this (make them feel important and loved). Your goal here is to make them commit into coming to your base!
  6. If they say yes that they will go, you have to ask all your fellow members to help you make him shell out his cash when he is already at your base. Make sure that when he leaves the 15th floor octagon building, he has lost 12k or you have his word that he will join and pay up.
  7. After the deed is done, smile and repeat again from step one. Easy money baby!

I apologize that it’s a bit generic and there are people smarter than me who can do better than that but basically, for most of them, that is their strategy. 🙂

Bloggers have been through these

Remember at the start of this post where I mentioned that if you search about this in search engines, you will find negative blog posts about Synergy One International or Synergy Global International? Well, that is because the members made a mistake by trying to recruit bloggers. Why would it be a mistake? It is because, bloggers have blogs and blogs can be read by anyone on the world-wide web. Simply add a dash of SEO and bloggers can rank first in search engines.

So just a piece of advice, if you want to recruit bloggers, make sure that you get them to commit else you will then see your name and your number of the search results labeled as a scammer. ^_^

Die Hard Members

Now after discussing bloggers, let us discuss the die-hard members. Of course, the internet is for everyone and not just for bloggers so we also have die-hard members. They are the ones who will usually go to the blogs of the bloggers who posted negative stuff and start insulting them, telling them they know nothing and they should just shut up. They will pick a fight with any body using their poorly constructed English sentences and their superior, I’m rich and you are not, ego personality as weapons. In a nutshell, they wish to protect their plans and their potential victims of gaining too much knowledge that they will get rejected when they invite. So they simply troll around.

If you join, will you be really earning?

Well, success is relative to your effort. For example, in regular 8-5 jobs, if you don’t strive hard or do your best, you won’t get bonuses or promotions so you will not be earning much. It is the same with affiliate marketing, you can’t just sit down and wait for money to come rolling in. You have to strive hard to get as much commissions as you can so that you can earn. Affiliate marketing is not a fixed source of income. Your income is proportional to the effort you are giving it so your success depends on you actually.

Conclusion

I thank you all for reading this very long write-up of mine and I hope you have learned something. I would like to clarify that I never mentioned in this post that Synergy One International is a scam. I hope you have read everything to agree with me that it is their recruiting strategy that is very questionable and very deceptive.

For those who have been invited, after reading this, I hope you will make the right choice and you will not regret it. If you wish to join, go ahead and may you be successful. If you don’t wish to join, then good for you. Think of the opportunity they offer you as a gamble.

For the members of Synergy reading this, well, if you want to insult or bash me by writing this post, go ahead. I will not stop you nor moderate your comments.

For my fellow bloggers, I hope you will spread the word about this and let everyone in your niche know more about this so that they will be informed on stuff like this.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this. Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂

Update: Ah! If you want to read more personal experience with Synergy One International or Synergy Global International, I recommend you visit the blog titled, Beware of NuSkin. It is a blog created to spread the word of their deceptions because a fellow Filipino flew from Mindanao to Manila hoping to get a decent job but got something else instead.

  1. hehe.. binuhay mo yung old synergy post mo ah. Heehee.. 🙂

I agree with what you said that their strategy is very questionable and very deceptive. Parang online survey na magbabayad muna ng $49.95 before doing the job.

    • ako rin me friend na nabiktima.. ayun mayaman na hahaha… asus kahit naman tiangge me nalulugi pa. di naman lahat ng business kumikita. gusto mo ng me kapalit na pera agad, mag work ka nalang.. sigurado kang bayad, di ka nga lang yayaman… pero once you get into business, you need to work, and you need to know what you are doing otherwise, di ka kikita, maliit nga lang exposure sa mlm. overall, if you find a good legit company, whats there to lose? pretty small investment if you ask me.

So I guess, sayang, traffic pa rin xa and I would like to inform people about it. ^_^

    • actually sige nga allen, aside from this blog, anu ba background mo? how are you credible to judge of what is good and bad business? baka naman you just make money selling your opinions? targeting non thinking bozos who listen to your opinion kahit wala ka credibility?

      • Nope, this OLD POST wasn’t a paid post as you’d like to assume but really based on my experience. Did you bother to read it at all or you simply went directly to the comments and do Ad Hominem attacks on all negative EXPERIENCES shared by people. Again, the point of the post is how deception is being done by members to lure in new members. But if you bothered to read the post, you would deduce that fact already.

actually i just received a call just a moment ago about this synergy one.. it seems the strategies you mention above on how they recruit is exactly the same.. iv been asked however to meet this certain person name Marcey Gonzales (i don’t know if its her real name or not) here number is 09165083725 in Trafalgar Plaza in HV De la Costa, Salcedo Village, Makati.. She asked me to be there by 6:30pm and the details are so vague that i don’t even know if it true.. Thanks for this blog I learn a lot and its good I have done my homework first before going there.

    • call lang pala e.. i receive calls from call centers everytime from shangrila, from time share, etc etc.. its kinda normal these days. no big deal. now if the offer was making money, and you do need to make money, why didn’t you check it out?? di ka secure mag decide on your own?

  4. whoa i just got the same call

hi thanks for posting ur blog good thing that i have google it before i went to the fuckin’ blg. today until now they are doing this stuff di pa rin sila tumitigil please continue blogging about this scammers.tnx

  9. AWwwww. Thank you so much for this blog. I have received the same style of call…I’ve been through their talk yesterday nyt. It was a good presentation, well practiced, but I can’t be fooled. Lolz.. I know from the beginning there’s something fishy about it. Nweiz, thank you guys. God bless!

    • whats fishy about it? i listened to their talk too. ok naman, nothing wrong with it. yung UNO ang scam. tsaka parang mga veteran scammers talaga ang mga kasama
but nuskin is actually legit. especially if wala ka naman capital to do big business. i actually liked it. if i did not already have a business and i did not have access to capital i would have joined. i think it can be fun , maganda naman products

      • Hi smart. I just attended at the Trafalgar office. I’m curious why you didn’t join. .. Could you please share? I’m weighing what I will do. …

  10. hi.thanks for sharing this. i just a call from marlon ilagan regarding an appointment with him at 15F TP Bldg. i was outside then when he called so i send a SMS to my friend asking him to do a research on Synergy. He said nothings showing except for blogs. no website nor advertisements. When i got home, i did some research online and found this. now i know i shouldn’t go there tomorrow.thanks a lot for posting this. i’ve been a victim of these kind of networking when i graduated college and i don’t have a plan of falling their scams again…

    • bakit eric, hindi ba graduate yung marlon ilagan? kinausap ka ba ng maayos? at naghahanap ka ba ng negosyo? if you had an appointment why didn’t you go? kung maayos naman kausap yung tao, malay mo baka matulungan ka pa nung tao. at anu napala mo for not going? then you will forever not know kung para sa yo or hinde. kasi opinion lang ng mga biased bloggers binabasa mo. its like reading negative news and because of that, di ka na nag negosyo. e di habangbuhay kang pobre?

  11. tnx for the post, i know that i should not come. i just received a call from a strange eric mendoza a few days ago regarding an appointment with him @ 12th flr belvedere tower, san miguel ortigas pasig city supposedly today around 6:30pm but he never said the name of the company that made me worried. i tried to look for the the address on the web but i haven’t found the one i’m searching. later i received a text from this eric mendoza reminding me of our appointment,i asked for the the company’s name, then he gave me. i searched the web for synergy international and came by with this blog. tnxs so much i was informed about their modus..

  12. super thank you.. i had a call last nyt from this eric mendoza and the words are all the same. gud thing i researched before i go there..

I just bumped into an old classmate way back elementary at SM Megamall, and after a few minutes of hi and hello, of course it will direct to the question like what is your job now? etc, etc., She just mention about their office somewhere in Ortigas. When I start asking about it she just told me, she will text me some other time. . Then I go on shopping. After couple of weeks she start texting me, about the FREELANCE thing. . I start to question about the exact things that they do and what is the job in stored for me. Same thing, she starts to answer me in General nothing specific and same as what t mentioned she will just insist to come at their office because its hard to explain over the phone. I run into an idea that it is a PYRAMIDING SCAM. . . Because the details are quiet the same with what my best friend gone through. When I start to ask for some question she will answer it in a very vague way and again insist to come at their office. I didn’t thought of that way at first because with the personality my classmate has, being a valedictorian i don’t think she will result to just that kind of work. I told her I don’t want to go into things I don’t have any idea of.. Then before getting off our house today, I tried to search for their company ans here’s I found. I don’t have anything against my old classmate, but I think it’s not fair asking someone for their time and later “MONEY” without them knowing what it is all about. You can gain money by giving your best no matter how small your earning is, but not by DECEIVING other people… I just hope people are smarter now. Shelling out even half of your earnings for nothing is not a good way of letting people earn. It’s the fruit of your labor let others reap their own fruits as well..

    • The thing about this is that they never force you to sign-up and shell out your money if you don’t want to. May sarili kang utak to decide for yourself. It’s all about making educated and informed decisions.

  16. gud eve…
tnx for this blog… hehe!..sana maraming lumbas n gntong blog about sa iba png company, n gnto rin ang gawain para nmn mabalaan p ung ibang tao… at para nde n din magoyo..hehe! dpt nga makalat p tong blog n to… tnx tlga! hehe

  17. you're so stupid. says:

oh well. nothing against on the company, nor you, nor how the company invites but ..

Look, when you go there, you lose nothing. seriously, just check out on the facts, and they won’t even force you to join. they’ll just present to you the facts. Weird thing is, THEY DONT EVEN FORCE YOU. And the weirder thing is, HOW COME YOU GUYS DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER CHECKING OUT ON THE DETAILS?

Well actually, synergy global according to my CREDIBLE research is that synergy is the company that provides trainings and the system to the distributors of Nu Skin Enterprises. and truthfully, san ka naman makakakita ng MNCs na ididiscuss sayo yung details over the phone?

and yung regarding sa “membership fee” na sinasabi niyo, you’re not paying for a MEMBERSHIP FEE. but you actually become a customer, you buy the products worth 12.6K. and that’s where things get started.

and obviously, their inviting strategy is not deceptive. its just that they are being fair with you to present you the BIGGER picture of the business project. And kung sino man sainyo na “JOB INTERVIEW” daw ung sinabi sa kanila is, well, you’re dead wrong. liar. :)). it’s not employment-based, its a project-based actually. And sa nagsabi siguro nun sainyo, well, malamang wala na un sa nu skin, kase bano, ANG BOBO. :)).

And lastly, I find it weird that people are thanking this blog for no whatever reasons. I mean, pwede ka namang pumunta sa appointment na yun? and then kung ayaw mo, eh di wag, okay lang. hindi ka naman icoconvince? tsaka kung pumunta ka naman, walang mawawala sayo e. I guess its just so true that FILIPINOS ARE POOR BECAUSE THEY MAKE POOR CHOICES. not all but for most of you filipinos. I just remember nung nainvite ako, I just thought na “titignan ko muna, mamaya na kita hihindian”.

Well, I hope I served you guys a lesson. I’m not part of NSE anyway, I was invited before, but I just gave my friend the spot. its just that I did credible research on the company. The company is great, the system of the company is great, but oh well, dahil lang siguro sa TANGA YUNG MGA TAO. :p.

    • u are the one who’s stupid huh

      • you're so stupid. says:

who are you calling stupid?? prove it rookie. :))

      • Code Name AR. says:

di ako naniniwalang hindi ka member. alam ko na rin yang ganyang strategy ng mga current member that tries to clean their name by commenting in this kind of blogs.

Dude, I ‘ve been a member for 6 months. Yung iba nagca-cancel talaga ng mas importante pang bagay para lang mapuntuhan yung sinasabi nilang “interview”, bullshit, they are hoping for a decent job then biglang MLM pala yung ino-offer? Di ko sinasabing masama ang MLM, but think of the fact that this person who shows up in your office is hoping for a normal job. Sabi mo their members are just being fair to present to us the bigger picture of the business project kaya ganun yung recruitment strategy nila, well, bullshit, HINDI SYA FAIR, pano magiging fair yun sa tao kung limited yung info na ibibigay mo thus leaving him no choice but to commit just to find out what your company really is? PANLOLOKO YUN. Kung wala kayong tinatago at hindi nyo kinakahiya yung kumpanya at ways nyo ng pagrerecruit you will tell us straight to the point, I mean, we don’t want all the details, simple lang naman siguro na ibigay nyo sa tao yung name ng company at kung ano ba talaga yung work.

POOR CHOICES? Dude, If you choose to join NuSkin it doesn’t mean that you choose the right choice. EDI IKAW NA. Ang yabang mo naman, so feeling mo naman ang galing mo kasi “Tiningnan mo muna at later on mo na hinindian?” Pinagtiyagaan kong panoorin yung 2-hour video and presentation. Naimpress ako aaminin ko, then syempre I thought if they can be rich with this, I can too. They made me believe na di ka yayaman as an ordinary employee, at ang tanga ko naman para maniwala, ang daming mayayaman na employee lang. THEY FEED YOU LIES. Alam ko yun pero tiniis ko… sabi ko pa “sige isang buwan pa then ayoko na” pero nagtiis pa rin ako ng nagtiis, giving every month a chance, nagtiyaga ako, di na ko makatulog minsan kakaisip sa business ko sa nuskin, ang hirap, may pera nga pero mahirap, iniiwasan na ko ng mga friends ko na nainvite ko na then pumunta ‘coz they trust me just to found out na member pala ko ng networking business at nasira pangalan ko the way I do their “standard inviting strategy”. Panget kasi talaga yun way nila ng pagrerecruit eh.

Another thing, syempre member ka na diba? They made you believe na in just 12.5k makakapag start ka na ng big business… BUT NO. You have to pay pa pala for another package which worth 36k that you will pay for “fast track”… this fast track are three separate packages for you to sell to your new recruits. Then saka ka palang makakapag earn ng points, worse is, may kota ka, dapat minimum of 1000points every month and pag di mo nameet yun, back to zero ka.

YOU ARE MAKING ME SICK.

    • THIS. EXACTLY.

  18. no wonder lots of people are poor because they choose to be poor…and they think they know everything..if your a smart individual why would you believed a blog where it is the site for opinions of people who did not know about something..look for the fact because NO ONE CAN FAKE IT..

    • sige nga, state your facts. i know NU skin provides training but it is up to the person still on how they use that training. if they use that training to trick people like saying that this is a job opportunity to earn thousands per month. Look how many people has been burned by NU skin members that are simply tarnishing Nu Skin’s name. It’s not our fault that you have rotten apples on your group.

The system/concept is great, but if you can’t apply it, it’s still a failure.

      • you're so stupid. says:

yun nga yung problema niyo e, you think THEY trick you, but its just an invite on checking out the details. And I bet whoever in Nu Skin Philippines said na JOB interview ung pupuntahan ng mga iniinvite nila then now siguro wala na sila. tsaka isa pa you guys dont fet the concept of starting a business. grabe.

      • Bakit naging problema namin eto at bakit mo sinasabi na “you think they trick you”, ehhhh JOB OFFER nga ung sinasabi nila tapos mka pag earn ka ng 50K.

    • you're so stupid. says:

Kaya niyo naging problema kse PROBLEMA NIYO NA YANG MGA PINOY!

Sige nga, matanong nga kita kung ano alam mo sa MLM tsaka network marketing? Kung ihhire kita ngayon to work with me sa isang MLM company, ano unang ppasok sa isip mo? RECRUITING, BENTA-BENTA, tama?! kse misconceptualized niyo na e.

tsaka isa pa, yung membership na sinasabi mo, if I remember ir right almost 12k yung product to be purchased., ITS NOT CALLED A DUMB MEMBERSHIP FEE! Kaya niyo pnpurchase kse pra MAVERIFY NIYO NA GUMAGANA UNG PRODUCTS OR YUNG CERTAIN SERVICES NILA. grabe. FYI, Network Marketing is MARKETING PRODUCTS/SERVICES THROUGH PEOPLE’S NETWORK. Not just Recruting or benta-benta and stuffs. Grabe. MAG-ARAL NGA KAYO!

Tsaka in any business concept, you have to buy inventories first before you can sell, HINDI BA KAHIT MAGTATAYO KA NG SARILI MONG SARI-SARI STORE KELANGAN MO MUNA BUMILI NG PANINDA PRA MAKABENTA KA SA MGA SUKI MO?!

Tsaka I dont get you guys why you complain na kelangan magbayad, KSE HINDI BA NAGBABAYAD KA NG PANGGASTOS FOR EDUCATION PARA MAKAKUHA NG TRABAHO?!

  23. option finder says:

syempre nasa tao na yun kung paano niya gagamitin ung training na prinoprovide ng company and its not a job its starting your own bussiness…ukie!!! me i asked you a simple question: saan ka magtatanong ng about sa result ng board exam , sa taong pumasa ng board or dun sa taong bumagsak!!…

    • Code Name AR. says:

  24. option finder says:

sino nagsabing scam…nanuod ba kayo ng ruffa and ai…kayo mga ungas pinagkaguluhan ng mga artista kung gaano ka ganda ang mga product ng NU SKIN…even BELO medical groups sa kanila bumibili ng mga products na ginagamit ng mga artista…poor people always say’s they know it already…but rich people are committed to be rich so they learn and grow..anung masama kung titgnan nyu..ang daming law’s if ever pilitin kayo ng company na mag join.. well i hope so sana someday baka mamalayan nyu isa kana sa addict user ng NU SKIN products…

    • hello sa u optionfinder…i tried nu skin products bago pa ako na invite sa mlm ek ek nila..i tried the products and i liked it.

i’ve been there..so sorry to say, nawalan ako ng gana to use nu skin dahil sa ginawa nilang networking scheme. kahit anong ganda ng products, if they’re using poor business practices, not mention unethical recruiting, nawawalan ng saysay. yung mga artistang sinasabi mo, kakagat yan dahil mayayaman na yan at sino ba magiging customer nila eh di mapepera din. use your common sense!

      • Code Name AR. says:

OMG EXACTLY WHAT I WANNA SAY.

  25. i was invited by this company in 2005 offering me to develop a system for them.
when i got there, i saw that it is just about networking of their beauty line and told me that it was not a job opening that they were offering me but an opportunity to earn, a business. i just left and went my way.

just today, 25 JUL 2009(SAT) noontime, i received a call from them offering me again a job opportunity to work as part time and earn as much as 30K. they want to schedule me for an interview on 27 JUL 2009 (MON) but i told them that i have work and cannot make it and if they have hold office on a saturday i might be able to give it a try. i was told that their office is just behind megamall, that they got my contact details from my college, that they cannot entertain my questions over the phone since the call to me was just to schedule me for an interview. i searched the net only to find out this site. my college confirmed me that they have also received calls from other alumni claiming they experienced the same.

i call for this company to have conscience and not mislead people to be given job opportunity specially during this time that the world is in financial turmoil. be truthful and tell them that it is networking. there are people there willing to still join networking.

  26. question: how do they get your contact number when you don’t know them?

    • @miaka:

they just told me that they got my number from my college. i called up my college to verify if they are affiliated with them, unfortunately they told me that they are getting complaints that synergy one global got the contact details of the person they talk to from our college.

SYNERGY ONE GLOBAL please educate your people to be truthful to those they share the opportunity. be truthful enough to tell people that it is not a job but NETWORKING business opportunity. Protect your name, your people your product Nu Skin and Phamrmanex.

  27. I have my story here. Nabiktima yung friend ko last Wednesday lng, I felt so sad because late na nila nacheck-out itong mga beware blogs na tulad nito. That is why I decided na buhayin ulit itong story ko.

    Thanks

    • Hello Nheo,

Thanks for sharing your experiences to this blog. Sooner or later (you already have one), a member of Nu Skin will react, call you names and say that you are spreading lies, but keep up the good work. They are just mad because the modus operandi of some of their members have been revealed. They are trying to keep their name clean but they can’t prevent their members from scamming people.

      Thank you once again.

      • thanks for the advice AllenGurrea. I hope they will stop their wrong doing particularly on their way of recruiting and inviting people.

      • Thank u for the advise, I have an invitation from a certain Robbie de Guzman, now I know what is his real intention. Thanks again

      • i received a call a while ago they said its a project then i asked what’s the name of the company they didn’t answer.. then after that i txted him i can’t understand the name but he said he’s from synergy one global bti nlang nagsearch ako,,, daming negative feedbacks

  28. Scammers! These people earn because their products are overpriced. Dyan sila kumikita. For all we know it’s so cheap to manufacture these products. Some of them di naman makinis mukha. The speakers are fake as well. Ang sabi recognized daw by one of the prestigious magazines e pag niresearch mo ang mga pangalan nila iba ang lumalalabas, d namn cla. They are claiming na nasa top 10 biggest companies cla e sa 2009 top 10 biggest companies pag nagresearch kayo wala ang pangalan ng Pharmanex.

Di ba dapat long term pag ganyan ang machine? They can’t even explain ang methodology ng machine na yan pano nakakameasure.

  30. joie panaligan says:

Thanks for the advice. I received a call from a certain Mr. RobbIe de Guzman and he invited me to meet him at San Miguel Ave. on Mondat at 7pm, It’s really look like a waste of time, now its really hard to find a honest person, who will really help you to find for a job.

  31. there is nothing wrong with any multi level , networking company…. what is wrong is that the way they invite people.. they need to be honest with intentions and Filipinos I think are already aware of this.We can discuss it to them via email or over the phone either way if they are really interested after that they will set appoinment with you.. What is hard is that we send a make believe message that is very enticing and create a hope. We should never forget that hardwork is the only way to success , no short cuts in life…

  32. waa!! salamat ng madami!! kung sino ka man thank you so much! good thing i searched for that company before meeting up with that girl. as in super ganyan na ganyan un sinabi nya sa kin! sh*t!! buti tlga i cared to search…waaa!! thanks ng super dami!! =’D

  33. thanks for this. i just got a call from a MR. LOZANO (don’t know if that’s his real name, don’t care actually) of synergy last wednesday, september 9, 2009 at 2pm asking me if i could make it to a so-called business meeting either at trafalgar plaza or bdo twin towers (he wasn’t sure at the time) on friday, september 11, 2009, at 6:30pm. i didn’t confirm and asked how he got my number and he said that he got it from one of my former employers but couldn’t say clearly how he did. i asked if this is an mlm company and he said no, adding that if you’re an mlm member you’re not qualified to join them, and that being from an IT company he knows i’m a fast-thinker, that they need people they can trust for their “expansion” until 2015 (right, talking trust to somebody you haven’t even met), blah blah blah. then just this morning, i got a call from a certain VENUS who is from this mr. lozano’s office who was confirming our appointment. i never said yes to both of them because i was already having my doubts since i got that first call. good thing i came across this blog because my apprehensions have been confirmed. and yes, their english grammar really made me sick so i just spoke to them in Tagalog. btw, here are those phone numbers: MR. LOZANO-09209613533; VENUS- 09189206855; and this is the exact text message (of the appointment details) i got from venus after she called me: “Hi rip, venus here.our appmt later,630pm at 26F TRAFALGAR plaza,hv dela costa cor valero sts, salcedo village, mkati.see u there!” thanks again and i hope this would help put people in the know. oh, i almost forgot, are these the same people that frequent powerbooks at greenbelt and glorietta? i’ve been approached by four different people at different times who tried to make a conversation by asking if i’m a graduate of this and that university. i just thought these might be people from synergy as well.

  34. thanks for the information..it really helps me a lot..now i have decided not to go in the interview tomorrow..

  35. Just to share my experience, Marami rami na rin ang akong mga tawag na natanggap, not just with Synergy but with other companies who have this same strategy. There’s nothing wrong with the blog but I can say na there’s nothing wrong accepting their invitation to drop by their office (if you have spare time). It’s up to the person kung kakagatin nila yung presentation ng company. If you’re asking what I did after attending those stuff, well nothing. I just checked kung papaano nila ilatag ang mga platforms and strategies nila sa pageenganyo ng tao to be part of their company pero di ako nag join kasi there’s more things na pwede kong ilaan ang perang hinihingi nila to join their company. If you’re smart enough, you’ll be able to find more things or think of other ideas where you can earn more money.

  36. hi!! I thank you for blogging this post..i ws just about to go to my appoinment..but my head get ahead of me and i do some searching about this company..an then..boom…lots of neagtive blog, post write up about this company comes up..whew!! muntk na thanks again!!! mabuhay kayong mga bloogers!!!

  37. thanks for the info. i was about to leave the house to meet them. i went online to get directions (i was given 15th floor Teleperformance building) since san miguel ave has a lot of buildings in it. i saw your post and several others. muntik na akong umalis. naligo pa naman ako.

  38. lol..thank god i searched muna sa net about their company,i got a call awhile ago from a jontahan lugay, same script tpos friend daw sya ng friend ko na taga UPearn 30k per month daw,i asked if me website so i can check their profile etc, members lng daw pede mkalog-in kya punta nlng ako sa ortigas.e wala nga ako work tpos kukuhanan pa nila ako ng pera, grabe tlga mga pinoy, kumita lng khit matapakan ibang tao.tsk tsk tsk.

  39. Also some girl named Maidee 09209506358

They should be fined! Unbelievable. Thank God I researched them first (and found this site, THANKS!) before the so-called “interview”.

  40. Your blog is actually true. The reason I researched on this because I just got a call wondering if I will waste my time going there.

However YOU insulted someone by saying that those members have POOR ENGLISH SKILLS! I noticed that you wrote “STUFF” as “STUFFS” which actually doesn’t have a plural form because you use “STUFFS”. This word with an “s” at the end is used as a verb.

But otherwise your English is great and you have conveyed your message. I actually laughed while reading your “stuff” because it happened to me 5 minutes ago. Shortly after reading your blog with a smile. I cancelled my meeting with them because I figured that my hunch was correct that this is a networking thing.

    • Hi Stela Ruiz, thank you for your comment. I actually laughed when you pointed out my mistake in the post. Talk about eating my own words 😉

I have corrected my post (thanks again) and I hope you did not have any regrets in choosing not to go.

Enjoy and have a nice day

  41. ATTENTION SCEPTICS!! Billionaire Donald Trump and millionaire Robert Kiyosaki are both endorsers of the network marketing industry simply because of its potential to help people start their own business at a LOW cost. Check out Robert Kiyosaki’s book entitled “Business School”, and you’ll get a deeper understanding of the industry. It’s just a matter of WHICH company you prefer to partner up with. So…I’d rather listen to SUCCESSFUL, WELL-KNOWN INDIVIDUALS than NEVER-HEARD-OF, WANNA BE-FAMOUS BLOGGERS =)

    • Attention Grace , did you even read the post and check what the focus of the post is? I guess not because why would you read something written by never-heard-of-wanna-be-famous-bloggers. So good luck and hope you become billionaires/millionaires like them too. =)

  42. wow!! grabe!! all the infos that you guys had shared are all TRUE!!! isa ako sa mga taong nagbigay ng oras para pumunta sa “interview” na sinasabi nila.. and honestly, while watching their presentation, i had doubts about the company… the video presentation that they had shown me is about brainwashing of ones mind!! its all about earning MONEY in easiest way.. they will insist na pwede kang kumita ng 15k/mo. nang hindi ka nagoovertime sa work muh!! sisilawin ka nila sa malaking sahod pero the truth is, sila lang ang yayaman dahil sa pera na idodown muh..

  43. there are always 2 sides to consider.
perhaps you may read this one too:

    http://randypau.wordpress.com/2009/01/13/15th-floor-octagon-bldg/

i must agree that there is a flaw in invitation. maybe the message wasnt clear (too fast, noisy background, the prospect doesnt listenting carefully, etc)

at the end of the day, you have the power to say YES or NO!
..and if you say a straight YES or NO – that’s when you get the winner mindset.
..and if you say YES or NO – several days after you kept on ranting, complaining, etc. – you got a victim mindset.. and you always do that in any other area of your life.

i’ve been there. I said NO.. but you know what, the information is all true.. if you said NO to them, be sure to take action with your finances in any other way.

(it is ok to be poor or broke anyway, for as long as you dont complain in life)

    • Hi Alfred,

Thanks for the link, I agree with you. There is always two sides on this story. I have known friends who has joined and I have nothing against them. I simply want to stop members who do all sorts of deception they can just to gain new members under them.

Face it, not all members are willing to help their downlines, they simply want to milk them with cash so that they can earn commission. That is something that I want to prevent from happening to people who put their hard earned cash just to be duped by false promises.

Even in this topic alone, there are already two sides. Those who defend the program and those who have been victims by false promises.

      Thanks.

Napakaeffective tlga.
HIndi lng nmn un ung inooffer nila’ may seminars and training din about sa leadership and business.

    • Hello Daryl, I don’t know what else to advice you because you already laid out a pretty good strategy here. I like your statement where one should not borrow money or force themselves to join if they don’t have the money. People should only join this if they have money they can lose and it is not really an investment where you are guaranteed returns, unless of course, you “work”.

If you want to learn more on the schedules on their training, I believe the best persons you can ask are the members themselves. You can pay them another visit and tell them honestly what your concerns are and why you want to join. I’m sure that there are others there who really want to help and are not just really after your membership fee.

  45. Hi, thank you for this info. Now I can think ahead, you know I was really planning to have a go on this one. I thought this is a big & real thing because this guy Christopher Lagos keeps on pestering me.
Well, as you said there’s nothing wrong, it’s a legitimate company it’s just that you would be caught by surprise not knowing that you are entering into a no-monthly-salary, MLM kind of work.

    Thanks!

    • oh well.. this blog along with others , seems like prostituting themselves to people who pay for negative news. nothing new. and no concrete thing to say that whatever the offer- is actually illegal or a scam.

pa ulit ulit lang focusing on how these people invite., and seemingly discouraging people from going..
these blogs must be from competitors that pay them well to be negative. all i’m reading is.
1-details are not provided.. and of course, how can you do business over the phone?
2- tapos, you need to work to get paid. but of course! what stupid thing is that? you need to recruit daw to get money back.. kung ayaw mo e di magbenta benta ka lang. such as normally done with tocino langgoniza, whats the big deal??

at the end of the day, selling is not wrong, what is crazy is listening to these bloggers and being gullible to them as if you are insecure about your own ability to think. what makes you think that these bloggers are credible? they obviously would not make a full time work out of this without getting paid. just like a prostitute , money for services. negative news for pay. but really, why are we listening to these bloggers? what if they’re simply not educated enough about these? after all. what kind of results do they have and why are you basing your decisions on their opinions
when they aren’t giving you any reasonable option that is better?
unless of course these bloggers are closet networkers working for a competitor and just getting database? 🙂 whats in it for them?
unless super walang magawa sa buhay tong mga to.. pero too professional to be just doing it for nothing hahaha.. obviously one of those cheap bloggers who sell their soul, talking negative for money or database.
thats even more deceitful. at least at nuskin. its actually a legitimate business concept. now wether you think you can do it or not, is another issue. but as far as legality is concerned. i don’t see anything wrong. not disclosing details over the phone does not constitute deceit. its their prerogative. and its your choice at the end of the day, you can always say no.. whats the fuss all about??? ka simple simple lang.. pinalalaki lang ng mga negative bloggers na to. obviously for pay hahaha. playing on gullible insecure people.

  46. i just receive a call from them last monday, inviting me for an interview thursday night at 12th flr belvedere ortigas. Upon talking with them, she doesn’t discuss mcuh about the company and also whenever i asked for the company name she always talk fast. I asked her if we can resked the meeting but she told me that shes very very and has an important meeting to attend to. ( shes trying to be authoritative). Wenesday night, i recieved a text from her reminding me about the interview. I didn’t reply. Thursday, 5pm i texted my friend to search info about the 12th flr of belvedere. And he drops to this company, so he texted me right away, i forced to online to read this site. I have read some story form others and it was slightly the same with me. meeting at 630pm, work at home can earn up to 15k. Thanks for this!!

Wag tayong maging tamad at palaasa. Kumilos tayo para sa pangrap natin.

lagi nga nilang sinasabi samin’ Kung may pangarap tayo sa buhay, kailangan nating magsikap’ lagi nting isaisip ung mga pangarap na un. Kc pag nangarap tayo eh ibg sabihin may gusto tayong marating.

    • Hi Daryl! Arr u still with NuSkin? Kmusta naman. I am actually being invited on Friday sa Trafalgar. Interested ako sa business but the thing is wla ako pera pang down sa products. Is there any other option? Like hindi ako bibili pero mag alok nlang ako ibenta yun?

  50. its ashame how stupid sometimes people become to believe such opinions coming from blogs denying them the opportunity to become the successful person they could have been. What you chose to believe is what you chose to become. No wonder why some people end up playing safe. They don’t know that life is all about taking risk and the greatest risk about it is not getting out of it alive

    • if you were in my position during that time, i’m sure you’ll think just like the rest of the victims. and yes there are 2 sides, and daryl is proving that there is still something good in joining this company.

too bad for us who were recruited poorly and promised the moon for nothing by folks who only wanted to earn through us. too unfortunate for us that’s why we are complaining.

good for you if you are enjoying the fruits of your hard labor in nu skin.

  51. dontrecruitme says:

this jameela/jamilla danding #09159046148 is also a recruiter of this NS international/NSE philippines/ pharmanex/ synergy!!!!!!
    BEWARE OF JAMEELA/JAMILLA DANDING #09159046148

  52. precious manuel says:

someone actually call me up and ask me to come at the octagon bldg-15th floor!supposedly it was last wednesday but i txtd her(jamella Dandin), that I wont be able to come since im also not that sure of what she’s tellin me when we are talking over the phone and shye again call me and is really covincing me to come and have it set next wed again…I said yes kasi she;s to makulit and theres nothing wrong namn if i try to consider the “job details”shes telling shewould disccuss. thats why im searching here over the internet and have read this email…ksi im also in doubt whats really with this one…thnx for this!=)

  53. may tumawag din sa’kin Friday night (6:30pm to be exact)… bago kami nag-usap nakapag-missed calls na siya ng 4x… just then she called – janeth magana (09086363650)… saying na this would be a part-time job (or even a full time job if i wanted to), owing to flexibility in schedules… di kami magkaintindihan – owing to the ‘noise in the background’ pero few things are I’m pretty sure:

    1) no company name mentioned (which is i did forgot to ask)
    2) no job description – except that i would be a part-time member of some sort
    3) they got my # from their “database” – if they really have one
    4) should i come/join, I’ll earn anywhere from P15k-P20k
    5) like all the blogs i’d read – “let’s meet at 15th flr octagon bldg”

i admit i was convinced but then again… i need to do my homework – which is this – research about them… and found this blog along with many others… as of this writing, i gave word to meet her Wednesday, 3:00pm, but after reading all these blogs and statements, I’m thinking more than twice… i just hope this would be their last…

    • so what keeps you from doing it in actual? are you afraid of your own decisions? that you need to ask a blogger without any credible background on the topic? if this was someone who is successful in business or even in nuskin, maybe puwedeng pakinggan otherwise, why not check it yourself? insecure?
so what if its network mktg? its a legit business, i may not be into it. but if you do not have other better options nor the money for anythingelse, what’s wrong with trying it? its simply different to normal selling because you can get compensated by getting other sellers. bad ba yun? its good diba?
these bloggers are just making it look bad , haven’t you wondered whats in it for them?? they get paid of course, these hypocrites 🙂

      • Hello SMART, I noticed that you’re defending MLMs although you did mention that you’re not a member. (Which is weird) Anyways, first of all, I’d like to clear things out.

        1) YOU DONT HAVE TO BE ASHAMED OF SAYING YOURE A NETWORKING/MLM company. At this time/generation – that’s something common already.

        2) PLEASE read the whole blog instead of just commenting how stupid we are because we didn’t try the opportunity. Also, UNDERSTAND the POV of the author – the focus of this blog is HOW MEMBERS RECRUIT and not why you should not join the company.

        3) YOU CAN EXPLAIN DETAILS OVER THE PHONE. Stop saying that it is not possible. Headhunters use that style. I know because I am one. We discuss everything in just 5mins – company, basic tasks, salary, location, etc. Because we want to let the recepient know that we KNOW what we’re talking about and that we’re no scam.

        4) Just because people didn’t try it, doesnt mean we’re STUPID. You said it a thousand times already, it’s our choice. Well, we chose not to. Our intelligence is not measured by this decision alone.

        5) NOT ALL BLOGGERS ARE PAID. Do you even know what a blog is? Blogs are created similar to an online public diary. Some are paid, yes – but some are made out of pure passion to share info. You can’t blame them if they’re not “credible” enough – bloggers have A LOT of resources, whether it’s word of mouth or by experience.

        6) Someone has already commented their own personal experience of staying there for 6mos. Not reading, I guess. Why didn’t you respond to that? S/he’s been a member – and you’re “not”. So who’s more “credible”?

        7) DONT CALL THE WORKING CLASS STUPID BECAUSE WE CHOSE TO STAY WITH OUR JOBS. There are people who is already happy with what they’re doing. Basic understanding – no explanation needed.

        8) WE ARE THE LIARS just because we said we were told it’s a “job opportunity”? Excuse me, but I heard the actual phone call for my sister. She was offered an “interview” for a “position” in the company because she’s from one of the top schools. She was never told of the position and good thing I was there as I told her “THAT’S NOT HOW WE RECRUITERS SPEAK OVER THE PHONE”.

And lastly, don’t act as if you’re freakin “smart” about the business. Since you’ve been pointing out “decisions” and “no harm in trying”, why didn’t you join?

If we, FILIPINOs chose not to join, then so be it! I have nothing against the networking industry, I have a lot of friends in Royale and they’re happy. I am just not capable or maybe sociable enough to “sell” the products – in which I know I won’t be successful.

The ONLY problem is, THE WAY YOU SPEAK TO PEOPLE! You say it’s a “business”, then why hide the facts? If Nu Skin is a globally recognized brand, then you should be proud that you’re part of it rather than being vague.

        Sorry for the long post.

        Thanks, God bless.

  54. I just have to say na after getting close up to this company, I would have to agree on one thing: that MLM is an unethical way to earn money. This business was presented to me two years ago. Nung una pa lang, uncomfortable nako. Still, after two years, and after seeing na parang umangat naman sa buhay ung dalawang kaibigan ko who tried to recruit me, sabi ko, I’ll give it a chance. So, I went to all the trainings and the idea of a job vs. a business resonated strongly with me. Kung ako kasi tatanungin, I have never been satisfied at any job given the fact na someone else always holds the rein. After a week of calling people or so, however, I really began to give serious thoughts about how money is really earned here. The turning point was when I decided to take a look at the ingredients sa produkto. I know some of you have said na maganda talaga ang produkto nila. However, their shampoos, even the toothpaste and other facial products contain ingredients that are very harmful lalo na at ma-absorb siya sa bloodstream. One example na lang is sodium laurel sulfate. And so, if it’s the same as the ones in mainstream consumer products, why would I want to spread it pa din? What is the difference between a 1k NS shampoo and one that you can just pick up at a grocery, eh pareho lang naman nakakasama sa katawan? And what about the gels and other stuff? What do they really contain ba? Am I really willing to sell this stuff to people in the first place when I know na na I won’t personally use them, having seen the ingredients up close? Also, I did quite a lot of research on MLM the moment I had this churning sensation in my stomach again. And I was right. You CAN get rich via MLM. It is, however, an unethical way to do so. Here is the link which helped me: http://attitudeadjustment.tripod.com/Essays/MLM.htm. You can also read up on Jon Taylor’s essay. I’ve been thinking whether it’s just because may mga taong takot yumaman or who have been burned by MLM. Yet, even without these factors, just thinking about how you would actually sign someone up so you can earn better than them in the long run is unwise. Isa pa, I saw that in MLM, you will not be owning your business. It is nothing more than a sophisticated machine kung saan you will have to abide by someone else’s rules and do what someone else says you should in order to advance. You are still a part of a system. And I have no doubt that it does alienate you from family and friends who will become prospects and potential markets in your eyes. I know there are success stories about MLM. Still, how about those other people who have simply remained at the bottom? What would they have to do then? Bring in more and more people? Ask them to sell products as well to others when these same products contain the same stuff you would normally find in other consumer products? And on and on it goes. For me, parang biglang bumaba ang tingin ko dun sa mga kaibigan ko na naging success whereas before, ang taas. Kasi, I don’t think I could ever stomach earning thousands or millions if that is what I’d have to do.

  55. Thanks for the warning! People should be aware of what they are getting into, it’s not easy to spend P12k that easily. I say it’s more or less similar to networking scams. People behind this should start to think of a more unscamming ways to earn. Kawawa naman ang nabibiktima! Thanks for sharing, great site!

  56. if there’s one positive thing i have to say about the members of the NU SKIN cult, it’s that they are persistent 😀 i can’t believe they trolled an old 2007 entry i did on their unsavory recruitment tactics (http://magnetic-rose.livejournal.com/523801.html) 😀

that only served to renew my interest and blog again (http://magnetic-rose.livejournal.com/608355.html) about their less than stellar efforts at repairing their company’s image online. thanks but no thanks, you ponzi-schemers 😛

    • Hi! I could not agree with you more. I get a few comments like that on my old posts too every month where I don’t really bother replying. I don’t think I’d stoop down to their level of name calling. Sometimes, I pity them, as much as they want to “clean” their name, their approach of being arrogant (are they trying the “rich jerk” style?) in the comments only seem to make matters worse. 🙂

Read your blog and found it interesting that members are now trying to outrank the negative posts. Really interesting, i’ll try to search for their posts. I hope there are no more personal attacks in their writings.

  57. may tumawag sakin ngaun lang,my lumapit sa akin kahapun sa national bookstore while im checking on some books. Yeah I agree to everything here that there is always a good and bad side. I dont have anything aginst networking ok nga un kasi you are your own boss and once gumagalaw mga downline mo tuloy2 kita mo. sino namang ayaw nun diba? Ang mali ko lang din kahapun nabigay ko no. ko sa taong di ko kilala and telling me that I have a good personality when she first met me kaya she liked me. But then the other side of the story is bakit ni hindi nyo lang naman masabi ng diretsahan kung anu pangalan ng company. Kasi yung strategy sa akin is like this. Nagpakilala naman sya and said that she is in need of a part time worker to work for there project which is a multinational company. Ayaw ko naman na maging rude so i just talked to her and even gave my no. (lesson learned: As what my daddy says “dont talk to strangers” effective pa din pala yun till now). Just this morning tumawag sya giving me an appointment. Nung tumawag sya kasi ngaun I had that impression sa style nya na tumawag lang xa sa akin to tell me that appoinment and she’s on her way to this certain meeting and again told me that I have that great personality when we first met kaya she wants me to be part of the company. Ang hindi ko nagustuhan is kung hindi ko tinanung kung anu pangalan ng company hindi ko din alam kung anu pupuntahan ko just the address and thats it and be there at wag man indian.
Nasa sales ako and I will do everything just to hit the numbers. And to be successful in this kind of skills kaylangan mo talgang makuha ang attensyun ng kung sinu kausap mo present all the opportunities and how it works but it will never be that easy.
Kahit saang bentahan ka pumunta ethics and attitude should always be there ng dahil duun nawala na yung tiwala ko to give them a chance of commitment.
Basta nasa networking ka kaylangan mo talgang mag work hard to earn taht much. All you have to do is to present lahat kung papanu magkaruun ng kita ang tao. YES you all do that on your training I’m pretty sure of that. But dont ever try to condition ang tao na ganun kadali ang kumita kasi its not. Kahit ako pag punta mo dun hindi kita pakakawalan I wont accept no for an answer.
Sa mundong to kanya2 tayong diskarte to earn kung kaya ng sikmura mo ng ganyan go lang. But for me I would rather render a service yung matinong serbisyo to earn. I’m not saying na di matino service nyo sa mga tao nyo pero sana naman from the start be transparent na kau.

I will aggree sa statement above na kung anu man service binigay mo should be equals din sa salary mo.

HINDI PO KAMING PINOY STUPID, BOBO O TANGA ANG PINA KA PROBLEMA DIN IS KAYO KASI PAG DATING NG MGA TAO DUUN HINDI NAWAWALA ANG KATAGANG GANITO “GANITO LANG KADALI ANG MAGHANAP NG PERA”, “MADALI ANG MAGHANAP NG PERA, TIGNAN NYO SI JANITOR O GUARD ETC. NGAUN MAYAMAN NA MILYONARYO NA DAHIL SA PRODUCT” SALES IS NOT FOR EVERY ONE.
KUNG AYAW NYO MA MIS UNDERSTAND PRESENT YOUR COMPANY WITH PRIDE.

Well I guess they can’t stop us in using blogs hahahahaha

  59. Galeng mu koya montek na ren aq e, keep up the good work, fair and balanced writing with kasamang sundot

  61. OMG, i just gave my 12,600 and got my kit just last week!!! i just got a loan with interest for that money!!! i cant believe that i am now a victim because of my own stupidity…

Those people who “scammed” you all don’t represent all NU Skin distributor. Find a good NU Skin distributor to see the difference.

  63. I just got a call from a certain Thomas Yeban… they’re at it again… just beware and think before you give your hard earned money guys! thanks for this blog! =)

  64. oh my god. it is a good thing i went to check on the company yesterday because i have an ‘interview’ with them tonight. and super good thing that i came across this blog. whooo! they were looking for fresh grads daw. and the things you guys mentioned were exactly true when a girl named blabla called me the other day! haay.

  65. tnx for this info. i got a call from nu skin international… and they offer me a part time job… and i think it’s the same as this blog… in all honesty i hate recruiting other people just to earn money… my interview is tomorrow so i think i’ll not go there

  66. Hi, I just came across your blog entry and so many other similar ones from other people. I got a call too. It was around 2 in the afternoon this Monday. The caller is a certain Ms Flores. The company is called “something Global something”. I really couldn’t make out the words because it was just over the phone and it was kind of choppy. (But now after coming across this entry I think it IS Synergy Global International). She said they are a US-based company looking for “top” trainees for an “entrepreneurship program.” She said they heard I am an outgoing and an easy-to-work-with person. She also asked what course I took in college (I’m a fresh grad) and if I had entrepreneurship subjects. But she didn’t mention who referred me and where exactly she got my mobile number. Nevertheless she sounded really professional and legitimate, and I was kind of interested already as she said they would be sending their trainees to the US for this entrepreneurship program. I was thinking, wow I’ll check this one out. She asked me to go to their office this Friday at 3pm for an in-depth orientation because it’s hard to discuss the program over the phone. She gave me this address: 15th Floor Teleperformance Tower, Ortigas Center Exhange Road cor. San Miguel Avenue, Pasig City. Then she goes on saying that this is non-committal but she expects me to be professional and that I won’t make last-minute cancellations.

I Googled right away after that. I typed the address and the word “global” in the search engine but I didn’t get a single thing about this “Global” US-based company. I mean, I would expect them to at least have a website, considering that they are US-based. Heck, even small local companies have websites! I didn’t get anything about the company (not even the complete company name) in that search, but I was busy so I put it off first. Then today I decided to Google again because I always make sure I know a thing or two about a company before coming in for an interview, orientation, and the like. I came across all these blog entries. It’s scary how all these stories match my experience, but the caller, company name, and building name vary. But the meeting at the 15th floor at a San Miguel Ave building is consistent in ALL stories. I panicked and told a friend whom I was chatting with at the time. Surprisingly, he was called too before by the same person (this Ms Flores! But in his case, the company’s name was Pharmanex. And it’s also at the 15th floor of the Octagon building in San Miguel Ave (it’s the same as the Teleperformance Tower; he says there’s a huge Teleperformance sign on the buiding). He actually went, and he said that it’s really just an orientation with a presentation and speeches where they’ll entice you to join their networking thing. He didn’t join. He advised me not to go.

My meeting with them is tomorrow (later, technically). It’s a really, really good thing that I decided to research again and I was able to talk with my friend.

    Thanks for sharing!

  67. Hi there, NU SKIN is LEGIT. Of course strategy lang po un,macyado nman po kayo..If natry niyo lang, sana successful na kayo with hardwork..:) just an opinion po..:)

  68. Its legit if its not it should have closed down years ago at dapat nakakulong na si Mariel Flores. Kung sobrang convince kayo na scam to then bakit dito kayo nagiingay, Sa abogado kayo punta.

  69. Thanks for this blog post. I received a call from that company also. They scheduled an interview and did the same protocol. Shit biktima sana ako if hindi ko nabasa ang post na ‘to. Thanks again!

  70. I wonder what does Mr. Allen do for a living, wasting his time creating this blog? Who is Allen Gurrea? Why is he trying to destroy by questioning the legality of this company? What is it for him if he succeed (which I doubt)? Will he be earning a lot of money out of this? Or maybe there is satisfaction out of those “thank you’s” and praises he receives? Well, no one knows. But one thing is for sure, this guy for me has no credibility.

  71. Hahahaha. Allen Gurrea. Ano nalang mangyayari sayo? Hahaha. Try using galvanic spa baka masulosyunan pa natin yan. Hahahaha.

Admin Edit: Perfect example of a “Die Hard Member”.

They are the ones who will usually go to the blogs of the bloggers who posted negative stuff and start insulting them, telling them they know nothing and they should just shut up.

  72. I was recruited by a friend to join Nu Skin. I used my credit card to pay for it. The marketing scheme wasn’t at all that bad, I thought. It’s networking, right. But it’s basically the same as other companies giving you commissions from what you’ve sold. But in Nu Skin, you get commissions from the products that you sold and the people you’ve managed to signed up for membership. Not at all bad. But what made me opt out of this company? After paying the P12,600, I thought everything was already explained to me. But no!!! My executive called me and the rest of her team for a meeting and she told us of what we should do to earn money. Your cash-out as a member does not end with P12,600. You are required to purchase a certain amount of Nu Skin products on a monthly basis. Wow. More spending! It was explained that the idea there is that as a member, you should set a good example to other members and non-members by buying the products yourself. This is a requirement, a REQUIREMENT for you to qualify as an executive (a higher position) and start earning more money. It was also explained that the money that you will use to buy the products will just be from the commissions you’ll get in recruiting others, so it’s so easy. You’ll have plenty of money to buy the products. Wow. But what if you haven’t recruited anyone in a month’s time? You guessed it. You would still have to buy their products. Expenses expenses!

Then the other thing that turned me off is that my executive was convincing all his downlines to purchase what they call a fast-track package. We were convinced to buy 3 more P12,600 worth of Nu skin packages to serve as back-up. The purpose of this is for us to be able to immediately give interested individuals the P12,600 package before they change their minds. Wow. More spending. Something that was not at all explained to me before I decided to become a member. If all these things were disclosed to me prior to giving my P12,600, I would have been interested to become a member myself. That’s another fucking P37,800!

So thank you for blogs like this informing the public of the practices of Nu Skin. And yes, I am not rich yet but unlike you Nu Skin people who have misled a lot of people, I don’t have anyone hating me because I did them wrong. I opted to be an inactive member because I can’t afford to lose my friends. I don’t have the heart to deceive and mislead people.

  73. Just reposting to make it more readable:

Wow. Strategizing. Wow. More spending. Something that was not at all explained to me before I decided to become a member. 74. Nu Skin is legitimate. I had high hopes for the company and the business upon joining. But let’s face it. The company has a lot of deceptive tactics in recruiting members. I got pissed because other relevant information was just disclosed to me after I already paid P12,600. I am not arguing about its legitimacy as a company. What I’m saying is that it has a lot of misleading practices that the members themselves are not proud of. If they are so proud of how profitable the company is, then why aren’t they proud of telling people that they are a part of Nu Skin? Why do they have to say stuff like it’s complicated to explain over the phone? Full disclosure is all we’re asking. Do not mislead people.

  75. Good thing I checked this site…. The same thing also happened to me, I received a call a few days ago telling me about a a business opportunity blah blah….and that I could work on a part time basis. They didn’t tell me through phone that it was a networking stuff, no clear company name was also given, I even asked for a job description but they didn’t tell it to me at all…I went to their nearby office for the orientation stuff and was almost convinced on joining… I happened to check the web afterwards for any feedbacks about the company, when I bumped to this site. They didn’t tell me that I have to regularly sell a certain amount… they just told me that I’ll do product demos and I’ll earn from it…..but how would I generally own from just a demo? hahahha

thanks for the blog my big question was answered….

  76. If you have experienced the ff:

1.Getting a phone call from somebody and telling you that they need people who have good leadership skills and you were given da impression that you were applying for a job. When you ask what company they are they don’t tell you.
2.Then you come over the place they say you should go (at 15th Floor Octagon) then you discover that it’s Network Marketing.

    Do the following:

    1. Call up NuSkin Office – (02)6890300 and tell the operator to connect you to Dewie Elma or Arlene Asidao as you are going to report unethical behavior by distributors.

    2. When you get connected to Dewie or Arlene then you just tell your real name (to make a legitimate complaint as NuSKin doesnt accept any anonymous complaints) and tell the name of the NuSKin Distributor who invited you, apparently, to a job yet you were deceived

3.THey shall give you instructions to file a FORMAL LETTER OF COMPLAINT so that they can take appropriate disciplinary actions to correct this unethical business practice

  77. NuSkin indeed is an excellent company. Sad to say, though, some of its distributors (they are not employees of the company), most especially those from a certain group called Synergy One Global are deceiving the public by teaching its members to hide to people that they’re NuSKin (whenever they call you up and invite you). Why do I know? I have a friend who joined NuSkin and quit and he complained of being coerced to say those nasty scripts. He just couldn’t stomach making people believe they’ll have a job when in fact they’re being invited for a Network Marketing event.

Again if ever you experience this call up NuSkin’s Hotline: (02)689-0300 (dont be afraid to tell your real name as NuSkin’s Legal Department and those in-charge of enforcing distributor contracts will not divulge your identity) and report the name of the person who called you up

  78. Observant Eye says:

    2 things I’ve experienced:
    (1) a person invited me with that same scripts above except that they did not say it is a job but a part-time project based one. That person asked me if I’m open to see it, no commitments.
    (2) I went to the meeting, and observed the presentations. After that, I was asked: “are you interested?”

I answered “No, I have other priorities.” (at that time I’ll be taking up my board exams) That person thanked me for the time I’ve spent looking at the details. Then bids farewell.

One thing I noticed, that person did not coerced or deceived me.

So, I guess to conclude that this company is a scam, a bunch of deceivers, without you observing their actual presentation is just what Sir Arthur Conan Doyle said:

“It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. Sherlock Holmes speaking with Dr. Watson.”

In fact, it is YOUR decision kung sasali ka o hindi.. right?

  83. This was the blog post that I made a few year back re: NSE Phils experience.

    http://flipmartz.multiply.com/journal/item/40/Lessons_in_Life_

years later, kahit na maingat na ako sa pagbigay ng contact info online, aba tinawagan ulit ako, this time iba na ang tactic, expansion daw ng abroad company, 2-3 people lang daw ang kukunin. pero nung na recieve ko yung text re location. nung nabasa kong building na may bdo, i bluntly said no, and they replied that I was unprofessional. wth

  84. Hi Allen,

Good thing I was able to read your blogs. I was scheduled for interview with them tonight and right after reading this I canceled my meeting with the lady named Elaine. Just wonder how they get my number.

Again, thank you! You save me 🙂

  85. Who ever created this blog? I don’t know what kind of person are you? You think poorly, close minded, full of shit skeptical, and negative person.

Better read book, watch news and other good learning material.

    Update your brain dude!……

    What’s wrong with network marketing?
It’s even taught in United state today.

Recruitment? You were also recruited by your company!
Only the CEO and the President of your company are getting rich. They don’t care about the front liner. Yes you can be like them but after 48 yeas.

In this biz dude networking distribution, you create your own income.

You don’t need to spend more time inside the office.

You got the typical Filipino mentality and misconception.

You attend the seminar and training para malaman niyo how to do the biz….

They are not capable and this is not for them kasi hindi ito trabaho o biz ng mga taong tamad…..

  86. A wise man makes his own decisions, an ignorant man follows the public opinion. -Chinese Proverb

    blogs are opinions…
try to do a research about the company and look for facts, not blogs!
the opportunity is not for everyone but you’re lucky enough if this company was introduced to you and bad thing for you if you turned it down…

to be successful in life, keep an open mind and listen to successful people…

  87. Andy! You are right! I am doing the biz now! I was able to help other people to to do the biz too. Maybe yeah there are some mistakes like the way they invite or recruit people, the reason for that is to determine if the person is open minded or not and open for any opportunity. Typical Filipino when they heard about Network Marketing they tend to over react and get scared. Generally if you ask most of them they wanted to venture into biz, but they don’t exactly understand and know how and what preparation they need to learn before venturing to any biz. When you talk to rich people they would love to hear your goals and visions and they would really love to help you. Once you receive a call from this company try to attend this would take only for an hour and 30 min. It’s a opportunity meeting for you to be able to know and to qualify if you are capable of doing the biz… We have biz support to help you. They may change your life. Now a days if you want to achieve your goals, have a peace of mind, free of debt, passive income, and time for family, better know what is the fastest vehicle to get there….

  88. thank you for this feedback. I just received a call and I was preparing actually and when I searched for the exact location your blog came out. It was really very helpful for me, you just saved me my time and energy. Thanks a lot for the feedback! I was just wondering how they got my number and some informations that were only written in my resume?..

  90. iv been part of nu skin. i remember im waiting for a work as a company nurse last year when i got the call from an EXECUTIVE. the process of getting into the company takes a while. so im open for options. i remember akala ko part time work. when i arrive sa ortigas (ang layo sakin) i was shocked ang dami namin. aminin ko im one of the DUMB that believed that this could be an opportunity to be settle here and not go abroad. for short this VICTORIA (JONES) SOLATAN and RAYMUND BARRISO signed me up in a q.c mall. im so cornered. una interview, nung nalaman nla i have a trust fund the so called RAYMUND was so eager to signed me up and the victoria sat quietly. he said “CGE NA BABA NA TAYO SA ATM SO WE COULD START NA DOING THE PROJECT.” hesitant but for short i signed. 12,600. i was required to try products (ok naman, products are great but hell expensive!) i attended seminars. (lalo na naman ako nabola) i heard this FAST TRACK. so i asked raymund anu ung FAST TRACK? bibili daw ako ng 3 more packs (12,600 each) with a discount 9600 na lang so 27,000+!! and i was no mauubos nun savings ko (all this was without my parents permission! wag daw sabihin ang business sa family) but he insist then call some people na nagfast track daw at yumaman then sinamahan nya ko to withdraw downstairs (may bank sa baba ng building) so un im so scared the promised me to sell all of my packs and have business partners for me. in my times sa nu skin pamasahe, pagakain lahat akin. then i was told to sell, and sell deceive friends to come. lahat SCAM talga. i realized if i want to be rich this is NOT the way!!!!!!!!!! pinabayaan din ako nila raymund when new protégées came! (kc wala na akong pera) may mga stocks pa ko ng products that were never sold. lesson learned wag maniwala sa EASY MONEY! walang ganun!! second for the hesitant out there consult muna people you know. (family, friends) HINDI TOTOONG MAYAMAN MGA TAO DUN!! ung mga upline! u make them more RICH! at sana wag ng mambiktima ng NURSING at newly grad ang mga taga NU SKIN. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. they have yearbooks, sites to get your contact numbers. BE CAUTIOUS

  91. thank you sa mga nagbblog at nabasa ko to bago ako magago ngm ga hayop na taga NUskin

  92. hmm.. so what happens when you won’t attend the ‘interview’? Hm..

  95. to lancen-gosh i feel bad that this company continues to deceived lots of people-THEY MUST BE STOPPED- (this blog started in 2008-thanks to the author anung petsa na)—-i also received a call for a job interview yesterday MAY 19, 2011- good thing i asked a friend if she knew something about this and she told me to come over her house to read blogs about how BAD that company is..she told me to post what she just typed. (the scammer name 09499275786-REchelle Francis-hate her)
    APRIL 10, 2011
I attended their seminar, spent a lot of money on transportation fee and cancelled a very important meeting BECAUSE the person who called me told me about a MANAGEMENT TRAINEE job. That is called MISREPRESENTATION.
Other MLM seminar there is a free food and drinks, at NUSKIN not even free water nor free samples.
And when the seminar is done and you told them you have no money to join in (I was looking for job remember). FLOP you suddenly disappear, as if u dont exist in the first place. Me and a friend just walked out the door feeling very angry, disappointed. We asked for the person who called us on the phone to rant and vent about the humiliating experience and she wasnt even there.
THEIR ADDRESS – 2nd floor of HSBC near south supermarket alabang.
THANKS TO THE ONE WHO POSTED THE BLOG ABOUT HOW BAD IS NUSKIN!

  96. Code Name AR. says:

I ‘ve been a member for 6 months. Sabi nila their members are just being fair to present to us the bigger picture of the business project kaya ganun yung recruitment strategy nila, well, bullshit, HINDI SYA FAIR, pano magiging fair yun sa tao kung limited yung info na ibibigay mo thus leaving him no choice but to commit just to find out what your company really is? PANLOLOKO YUN. Kung wala silang tinatago at hindi nila kinakahiya yung kumpanya at ways nila ng pagrerecruit they will tell us straight to the point, I mean, we don’t want all the details, simple lang naman siguro na ibigay nyo sa tao yung name ng company at kung ano ba talaga yung work.

THEY TELL MOST PEOPLE ARE POOR ‘COZ THEY MAKE POOR CHOICES? Dude, If you choose to join NuSkin it doesn’t mean that you choose the right choice. EDI SILA NA. Ang yayabang naman masyado, so feeling naman nila ang galing nila kasi sila daw “Tiningnan daw muna nila later on nalang hihindian” EDI SILA NA ULET. Pinagtiyagaan kong panoorin yung 2-hour video and presentation.

  97. i got the same call, I also experienced the seminar in one of their offices at Alabang, you know what they offering huge amount of money for just selling their products but you have to buy first 21k worth of NUSKIN product..i felt sorry for them i am wiser than them .. they never get me..haha

  98. muntik nq.. i received a call from someone at pinapapunta aq sa 8th floor metrobank building san miguel ave. ortigas pasig city.. at tinanong ko kung anong agency/company cla and cngot aq ng SYNERGY INTERNATIONAL daw so sinearch ko agad sa net kung anu b ung synergy n un.. and sad to know tamang tama ung nka post d2 s naexperience ko. and tomoro aq pnpapunta.. and i make up my mind. hnd nq pupunta dun. bbyahe aq ng laguna to pasig pra lng sa wala? damn.. no tnx!!

tnx sa blogger n nagpost nito 😀 u save me money and time 😀

  99. I got a phone call from a girl named Ms. Cute(coz she’s really cute).
She told me to go to 15th floor Octagon Building in San Miguel Ave. Ortigas Pasig City(where you can find Teleperformance @ the 12th floor of the bldg).
So I went there, listen to their great speakers, watch videos, read some power point things for two hours. After that I was convinced, I answered “A” Meaning no Questions whatsoever…
Then me and Ms. Cute went to what they call show room with lots of people(some foreigners), there you will see their products, that machine that calculates your Anti-oxidants inside your body and more blah… blah… thing.
Then we went to what she called it the hall of fame… there are names and pictures of the persons that reached the highest earning people.
After that I got home with a word from her to meet me in SM Marikina the next day.
But many questions popped from me, my family and a very special friend.
Those questions made me think 100x.
And the answer finally came. This Blog and that blog named “Beware of NuSkin or NSE Philippines…
    Thanks to you guys…
Now I don’t have to put effort on where to get my 12.6k and waste it for nothing…
Too bad I didn’t get a chance to have Ms. Cute on a private place… ^_^,v,,

  100. SUper Thanks for this blog..,someone called me yesterday and offered me a job opportunity on his company called Synergy. Actually i was caught by the 15 K monthly income the job may bring so I accepted his invitation to go to 16th flr Robinson bank bldg, San Miguel Avenue, Pasig City on the coming Friday. I asked him first where did he got my number and told me he won’t able to traced it. I was too excited that he knows my name and other skills of mine, so I assumed he is really looking for someone like me. I have doubt that it would something scam or illegal thing. So i browse the net and crawled in this blog. Thank you talaga!

  101. When I was in college, I was invited to Octagon building by a school friend. This recruiter was one of my closest friend’s crush. She invited me to this seminar with another person in the same campus. Me and the other dude went to Octagon building and a seminar was happening. There were a lot of suckers there, including me. Every members looked so appropriately attired and wealthy-looking. Everything was very convincing. I did not tell my parents or brothers about this because I wanted to surprise them. I was 17 during the seminar, 18 the next day. Opportunist, I’ll say! I had 7K saved up during that time and they said they take down payment. Anyways, our recruiter was really focused on me than my friend when I mentioned I saved up. My friend backed out because her sister had forbidden him to be a working-student. I was dedicated and it so happens to be that the company’s xth anniversary is coming up so my recruiter sold me tickets to the xth anniversary party. I bought it and it was the best purchase I ever had. If I had not bought the ticket, I would have enough money by the following week to “join” their company.

  102. first of all NuSkin is not a scam. They have records to prove it. You can check the website i posted.
secondly those who think of nuskin as a scam company is clearly feeble minded. you’re just like a light bulb, bright on the outside but hollow on the inside. you talk big like you know everything. you all think alike. that’s the main reason why you’re where you are right now (and will probably be for the rest of your miserable lives) and they are at the top enjoying whatever they’re worked for. this are decent people going out of their way to share opportunity to you and the least you could do is look at it. did you die because of a single call? of course not. you’re just too narrow minded that you’re too afraid that someone would take advantage of you.
clearly your comprehension of things needed some improvement. you just failed to see the big pictures here guys. no offense but the way you think is just too elementary. at the end of the day you’ll just find yourself getting nowhere in your life because you’re too feeble minded but acting all wise and noble. i really feel sorry for all of you. we’ll see whose desperate when that time comes. xoxo

    • WHAT WE ARE ALL JUST POINTING OUT HERE ARE:

      1. DO NOT USE SUCH TACTIC/S THAT WOULD WASTE TIME

      2. GO STRAIGHT TO THE POINT (INVITE THEM DIRECTLY AND DO NOT HIDE THE INFORMATION, YOUR INFORMATION.)

      3. WE DO AGREE THAT WE HAVE OUR DIFFERENT WAYS TO ADVERTISE BUT PLEASE BE ETHICAL ENOUGH (AVOID MISLEADS)

      4. BUT BY DOING YOUR TACTICS, YOUR WAYS OF INVITING PEOPLE, RESULT TO BAD REPUTATION.

      5. YES, YOUR COMPANY DESERVES BETTER, BUT THEN AGAIN, DUE TO YOUR STUPID TACTICS, WAYS AND ETC, IT GAINED NOTHING.

      6. GO BACK TO ELEMENTARY AND STOP BEING STUPID.

      4.

  103. TinyenteLechon says:

I received the same call 2 days ago. Marami na ako nasubmitan ng resume online. So I was thinking it was one of the companies na naapplyan ko. When they called NSE lang ang sabi na company name. So I went there just today. But when I got to the 15th floor ng Octagon Bldg nakita ko Nu Skin umalis na ako agad kasi I know hindi naman interview yun at networking siya.

  104. .thank you sa blog na to muntik na ko mabiktima ng scammer na

This is not a hate blog as you might think. This is to create awareness to the people who have been getting invites of false promises and richness. To summarize this for you…

If you want to discuss further, let me know but please do read the post properly first ok?

      Thanks.

  118. Natsu Dragneel says:

@Jayu Not trying to make enemies here or anything but i would have to disagree with what Jayu posted. Reading the site that Jayu posted that company was only making money through recruiting. The money from network marketing must also come from sales thus the word “MARKETING”

I myself have been invited to NuSkin saying that they have a business project for me and that they were NSP International company. I have to admit It was pretty suspicious on how they got my no. so i asked my dad to come along. (you never know if you might get kidnapped hehe ^_^)

I saw the presentation half way through and i started to get hints that this was networking(MLM) I instantly thought of the word “SCAM!!!!” but decided that I would see what made people think that this was a scam(I am not a college graduate for nothing). It is a good business model kinda like franchise but with people and smaller capital of 12,600Php for products that you will use yourself. I decided not to join because I already have my own business to take care of.(I still buy their body scrub though best thing i ever bought hehehehe ^_^)

For people who thinks Networking is a scam you guys must have had some bad experience in the industry to think like that and I blame the MLM that gets money only from recruiting and closes before you know it.

Also for those distributors who trick people by saying you have a job opportunity when your just trying to invite them in you MLM you should really change your ways before you destroy your reputation as well as the company’s.

    P.S.
They told me that the 15-20k depends on retail products sold not on the no. of recruits. Also if you saw the presentation In my opinion just recruiting people wont get you too far in NuSkin networking you have to teach them how to become Independent leaders who can who in turn can teach other people to become Independent leaders themselves (This of course i think also requires the skill of selling and inviting)

  119. Leandro Julius says:

Network marketing is not in itself bad; it's how these people operate that makes it look, well, bad. There's a thin line between MLM and Ponzi scheme: one has a product line–inflated pricing, yes, but at least there's something that makes them 'legal'–and the other one has none ("papel" at "pangako").

  120. I received a call a moment ago and in my surprised she knows a lot of things about me. She mentioned my school and gave so many praises towards me. She gave me her name ( rizalyn del Rosario) I am not pretty sure if that is her real name or not. Her number is 09287400040. She gave all the details which also is the same to the given above. But since I found out that this is only scam.I won't waste my time for this one. Anyway this might be their new location as she mention to me over the phone. she said " SM Mega mall, Building B 5th floor, Mega trade Conference Center.

  125. hi… is it the same with SYNERGY GLOBAL? he called me up a while ago, and said he invite me for interview this friday 6:30pm at filinvest, alabang. any comment/s guys?

Be smart guyz, take the risk. 13,600 is not a life changing amount of money for a regular person, but if you dont want to be just a regular person, become an extraordinary person and 13,600 will be a life changing for you. If it doesn’t, it means you pay but did not do your home work. Good luck sa mga no money and no time people (laborers).

  128. I’ve been to the 15th floor awhile ago. As I suspected, Networking. Haha

Sabi nila employee’s daw e, hindi yayaman. Papakita ko sa inyo na kaya. 😉

  130. actually i attended this interview its on trafalgar plaza bldg., hv dela costa makati ave. kaya nman ako pumunta dun kase nakuha ng isang welcomer ng prayer meeting n pinupuntahan ko ung no. ko and i badly needed a part time job at that time. sadly she has to use my preacher’s word to convince me and infairness she did pagdating ko dun ang product na pinakita nila is about NUSKIN . inspiring ung mga pinagsasabi nila dun and it almost made me to join.. but then may hiningi na silang 13600 for the fee.. i dont why they need the fee if they want to help others to be BILLIONAIRE daw like them.. xmpre hndi biro ung gnung amount so i declined it. hello!!! kaya nga ako nghahanap ng part time job eh to earn extra income tpos my gnun… thank god hindi ako mxadong uto-uto.. hehehe

  133. i just got a call today, 10 mins. ago..i was surprised that the caller “jaja” said that “someone” referred me to their company and started telling me praises and that i soud very professional over the phone.. the first time she called, di ko nasagot..so i called her back, then she said she will review their systme first and she asked for my full name pa nga tapos she will call back daw 1-2 mins. sounds professional kagad diba… here we go… she said she’s from synergy international and they are expanding internationally, but since this is a part time job, i can still pursue my pending applications daw.. but i was surprised coz she know where i worked before.. hmm.. then we ended up planning an interview on saturday at 4pm, the first choice was, thursday 6:30pm after office hours daw.. dun na ko nagstart mag wonder, kasi what kind of company will interview someone “after work hours”? overtime pay? mayaman naman msyado… to my curiousity, i asked for the last time who referred me to their company? she then said, “hmm i really dont know the exact person/company kasi affliated lang kami, sinend lang nila samen yung details mo that you are very hardworking kya di ko exactly sure..anyway, we can still talk about the offer further on saturday”.. i was really curious and told her that i havent been successful twice with my job interview and i dont know anyone who will recommend me to any company. after our conversation, i rushed into my laptop and found this forum nga… thank you so much.. oh by the way, they gave me an address same as the ones they all gave you, except that, instead of 15th floor, mine is at the Ground Floor.

  134. CATHY ANTONIO- 09178449802

I got a call from this woman last Wednesday, asking if I could be a part of a new project that their US affiliates are planning to open soon in the Philippines. She introduced herself as the project manager and told me that she’s looking for people to be with in her team. She mentioned that they need assistance in the training and development department after I told her that I used to work as a trainer in my previous company. Just on cue.

I fell for the trap. Simply because I’m currently looking for a new job, applying to companies, and receiving job offers from potential employers. When I asked her if the job would entail the use of a foreign language, she was quick to answer that she still needed to double check with her boss then immediately invited me to a “meeting” to discuss the details of the project. The line was bad, there was too much noise in the background and I had a hunch that it was intentional so that I wouldn’t understand what she was saying. But like I said, I fell for it so I decided to give it a shot. She then sent me a message with the appointment details. 15TH FLOOR, OCTAGON CENTER, ORTIGAS.

I chose this over another plan that I’ve already set, drove to Ortigas, parked at SM megamall, heck I even bought a new top because I forgot to bring my blazer for the business attire requirement. Got all sweaty and tired looking for the building. When I got to the 15th floor, several people were waiting at the lobby! And I saw people inside the office sitting on tables, trying some sort of skin products on the innocent-looking recruits. I immediately texted my boyfriend and asked to google NU SKIN. After a few minutes, he replied: LEAVE. IT’S A SCAM. I pressed the elevator and never met this Cathy person.

I almost missed another important appointment for this SHIT. Perhaps MLM is good for other people and besides, NU SKIN is a legit company. BUT the way they recruit people is unacceptable. Thank you very much, CATHY ANTONIO of NU SKIN for lying and wasting my time. JOB WELL DONE. And next time you bother me, I’ll slap you in the face with my resume.

    Makakarma din sila.

  135. anyone who knows RESANE C. TAN. she recruited me on this but thank God he enlightens me not to give much of information about me.

  136. shettt…kakatawag lng sakin knina nito, kala ko tech support/help desk job…eh nghahanap p nmn ako ng job nowadays…buti nakita ko tong blog n to…thanks to the blogger & all involved in this thread…

  137. I also had the exact thing done to me two days ago.

I received a call that a Biotech company based in Dubai is in need of a Financial Planner. (which was a big fat lie) The opportunity sounds very attractive and promising! So, I got excited that this very nice offer just landed on my lap. The person who called me did not introduce herself properly. She did not state the exact name of the company, despite of me asking her about it for 4 times in the duration of the call. She seems to be in a rush, vague, and she muffled all of the details. She seemed like she was speaking in gibberish. She looked like she was concealing something –it was all very fishy and suspicious.

She told me that they are looking to give me a job for a project for this certain Biotech company in Dubai. She asked me to bring my valid ID, a copy of my resume and to show up in corporate attire at 6:30 PM.

I was like, “What? Are you kidding me? A job interview at 6:30 PM? Do I look like a freaking hooker to you? What company from hell conducts a job interview in the evening?”

To cut the story short, I showed up: with a valid ID, a resume and in corporate attire. I was curious, I always have been. I am old enough, logical and I can take care of myself.

Before I headed to The Roof Deck of the Prestige Tower along Emerald Avenue in Ortigas, I texted her, asking for the name of the company again. She told me it was “S1 Group”. (which is clearly another lie.)

Off I went to the Roof Deck of Prestige Tower. I was greeted by my contact person named Phoebe Reyes. She looked eager to please and enthusiastic — the kind that makes people really uncomfortable.

I was 30 minutes late. She quickly gestured me to enter the air conditioned room. The room was filled with speakers. There was a slide show, a video presentation and all that jazz. It is obvious that they really invest in these “meetings”. I was waiting for Phoebe (or anyone, really) to ask for my resume. But no one did.

A lot of people in the audience seemed persuaded. The man sitting beside me was taking down notes during the entire talk. Most of us, were fresh graduates looking to find better work opportunities for ourselves. There were adults too: some stay-at-home moms, people from the provinces and some out-of-work middle-aged men.

The speakers seemed really trained to say the right stuff. They keep tossing these emotional-grabbing and misleading symbolisms that were designed to convince people of the promise of easy money. It was all smoke and mirrors.

After that, we were asked to go back to our contact persons and to ask them about our concerns. I asked her how she got my contact details. She nervously paused for a while and told me that they have a database. I did not ask any further, I already knew the real answer from her response. I also asked her, if we are going to all be employed and if they are employed or even directly associated with NU Skin and Pharmanex? She vaguely replied, “This is a side project of those companies. We need leaders like you.” Then she handed me out a form, asking me to write the mobile numbers of my friends. I only wrote one, my old and unused mobile number. I reasoned that my cellphone is new, and my contacts are not yet listed.

Phoebe got the impression that I was not an ounce convinced. So, she quickly led me to the elevator and told me to meet her again for coffee during the weekend with some of the other “trainers” (aka stupid-ass scammers). She also told me to Google the company of NU Skin, Pharmanex, etc. (She told me this, because the first results on Google are all about made-up websites and blogs defending the NU Skin scam. The real blogs of the scam victims were pushed back too pages 9 and 10 of Google.)

I politely told her that I will check my schedule and get back to her and hurried home.

This is a warning to everyone who is in the middle of this NU Skin ponzi-scheme.

  138. [CONTINUATION]

They say this is not a pyramid scam? THINK AGAIN, and think hard. LOOK AT THE STRUCTURE. Look at it objectively. Ignore their sophisticated symbolisms, empty promises of instant wealth and their sweet words. LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE. Always.

I want to emphasize that they lied to me about:

    1. The promise of a job opportunity.
    2. The name of the company.

They lure jobless but educated people, fresh grads, students, people from the provinces looking for work opportunities in Manila, stay-at-home moms and jobless middle-aged people. They lure people who are desperate, gullible and naive. They take advantage of these people’s weaknesses.

Their overall intent is to DECEIVE. They resort to incredibly low and desperate means to get you to pay them Php 13,600. Their main target is to milk innocent and unsuspecting people of the money that they do not have.

This unethical business practice should be banned. It is a mean-spirited thing to do to people who have honest intentions and for people who make an honest living. There should be laws protecting us against these businesses who make profit by feeding people lies.

Lastly, DO NOT TAKE THIS OFFER. The reasons are:

    1. You will not be proud of yourself, what you are doing, and what you have become.
    2. Your friends and relatives will avoid and be bothered by you consistently trying to milk them of money that they do not want to spend.
    3. You will hate yourself for being a dumb sucker and falling for this scam.
    4. THIS IS NOT A CAREER. Peddling people lies is NOT a career.
    5. This is not a noble and respectable thing to do with your life. You will live a life without a sense of dignity.

I am sure there are many more reasons, but this is all I can come up with.

I actually feel bad for the unsuspecting suckers who threw away 13K for the promise of easy money. I sincerely wish them all the best in life and I hope that they will soon live a life of dignity and respect.

If you have come this far in reading, I hope you will make the right decision. The right decision is always the decision you are happy with.

By the way, the details of my contact person for NU Skin is below:
    Name: Phoebe Reyes
    Mobile Number: 09154209058
Alma Mater: De La Salle – College of St. Benilde
    Major: BSBA Export Management

…so that you will know who to avoid out of the thousands of NU Skin scammers littered across the archipelago.

It’s a good thing I listened to my parents. I was having a gut feeling that this was a bad company but also got excited after the business meeting because I wanted to learn how they manage to earn so much. The first time they called me they also used the abbreviation NSP which they did not clarify thus made it difficult for me to do a background check through the internet. Plus, people there appear like customer hungry hunters that would do anything to convince people into buying the products. Since my parents did not want me to become an annoying telephone maniac marketing their products as my cousin did (who was also in fact endorsing one of those pharmanex products in the past), I decided to let this opportunity go. I just read this blog days after that business meeting and it sure brought a lot of light on what’s happening there.

  141. I don’t get it, if networking marketing is not a good thing to do then why is it that Donald Trump is advocating this? I saw his video in you tube telling people to do network marketing and Donald Trump actually is in network marketing! here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj-DW7gpUn8

I think the issue for most of us including me at first is that we do not listen just to the message. The message is simple and that is this Nu Skin business which is using networking marketing can really help us earn really big and fast but with commitment just like in any other business. That is the message: earn really big, but for us Filipinos we tend to get too emotional and attached with our culture of making other people decide for our own self. Example when our friend or neighbor told us that network marketing will help you earn extra income for now and be eventually wealthy in just a span of 5-10 years, are you going to believe them? Most of us will say ofcourse NOT e sino ba sya? e di rin naman sya mayaman. BUT if Donald Trump will invite you to his network marketing just like in the video that i posted, saying the same thing that was said by your neighbor and friend which is that network marketing will help you earn extra income for now and eventually be wealthy in just a span of 5-10 years, are you going to believe in him? Most of us will say ofcourse YES! e si Donald Trump kaya yun!
Your friend and neighbor told you the same message that Donald Trump said, the message is the same: network marketing will help you earn extra income for now and eventually be wealthy in just a span of 5-10 years!
You see most Filipinos has common goal after college which is to work to earn more money so that eventually you’ll have whatever you want or you dreamed of. Aminin man natin or hindi sa sarili natin lahat ng gusto natin sa buhay na material and quality time for family really needs money, may corresponding amount…. E kung ganun bakit kaya ayaw natin makinig dun sa message? na we can earn extra income and eventually be wealthy? e diba kaya ka ngayon nagwowork para din dun? to earn little for now then work more para mapromote for more pay para eventually maging mayaman or wealthy… Yun lang yung message iisa lang, pero dahil most filipinos are not objective but emotional, di lang yung message yung pinapakinggan natin kung di pati yung messenger. E di namn yung messenger yung tutulong sayo maging mayaman e, hindi yung friend mo or si Donald Trump, ang tutulong sayo is yung business which is using network marketing.

In this kind of business, you should have an honest crystal clear goal in your life, put a tag price on it see for yourself if you can really reach that goal by doing what your doing right now. If Yes, good continue what you do. If No, then thick thrice, then do something.

Marami pa pong example or pwedeng panilayan tungkol dito pero kayo na lamang po ang humusga pero kailangan if you’ll judge network marketing judge it objectively not emotionally.

Network marketing is something one should be wary of because this marketing scheme only thinks about the SELLER making money, instead of the CONSUMER’s needs and wants. The RECRUITER is encouraged to FIND OTHER RECRUITS who have a big circle of contacts (which translates to bigger membership and sales).

In marketing, if your PRODUCT IS REALLY GOOD, PEOPLE WILL NATURALLY SPREAD THE NEWS ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT ONCE THEY’VE TRIED IT. They will even blog about it, and you get free “ad” because the people believe in your product. Sa networking, the products are priceyly un-believable.

So anong mararamdaman mo?

They say first impressions last – then make a good impression! Problem with those “networkers” is that they use exaggerated-flowery statements para lang makuha loob ng kausap nila.

Oo, pwede yon.

Ako, twice kong sinasahod yun in a month, sobra pa sa 13k.

Walang stability ‘to. Oo, sinabi nyo na, PROJECT BASED – excuse me, kahit project based po may stable income.

Don’t call the bloggers “not credible” because people actually respond with their own experiences – are they not credible too?

Again, WALANG NAGSABING DI LEGIT ANG COMPANY NYO! ANG SABI, YUNG WAY NYO NG PAGRERECRUIT!

  143. Adones de Gracia says:

Well, Thank you for posting this article.. I suppose to have an interview tomorrow 6:30pm at Ayala Cebu room 902 at 9th floor Insular building.. So, I plan now not to go tomorrow..

    • bmercader1@yahoo.com says:

hi adones can i get your number so that i can call you? coz i have an interview also by 1:30pm tomorrow same as your address…so all of this is a hoax?

  144. […] further research, I found this blog which details an unbiased explanation of NuSkin’s business.  The author claims that NuSkin […]

  145. This is the 2nd time that I got a call from this company. I went there twice, first was with my consent with a friend who has been a part of the company, 2nd, as when I got deceived of a “qualifyin interview.” Most of the are from DLSU or CSB, maybe the reason that they got my contact details. For the third time, such a hoax. Now, they’re giving me a different address. They are aware that people will be searching for the comoany’s legitimacy, and it really sucked that they I have to do that.

  146. Hi Allen, Thanks for this post. I was contacted by someone working at Synergy, I was driving to my home when they call and like what I’ve read its the same strategy. Im not really sure how did they got my number but yeah that doesn’t matter now. I was curious of what this company is. So like most of us do we try to research something about the company and other stuffs and good thing I found your blog. I was trying to call them so that I can cancel my appointment with them but nobody answers my call. That shows I will be wasting my time and effort if I go, because they can’t even answer a phone call.

Cheers to you allen. Very helpful blog and may others find this so they wont be a victim.

  149. Good thing I read your blog before my “job interview” later tonight. All the replies from years back are still the same until now. That does mean that their ways haven’t really changed, unfortunately. I just graduated this May and I’m working right now at an office in Ortigas and quite happy, just looking for extra income. I may be young but I won’t be fooled by the tricks they’ve done for years.

The sad thing is, I know the person who the caller said referred me to them and it’s okay that she confirmed that she is working for Synergy One but isn’t it sad when your friends aren’t honest about what their real motives are? Knowing that they’re doing this for their own good. Not bothering to ask if you’re okay with it, or if it’s even the type of job you’d be willing to take on – not clarifying everything before making you jump and waste a couple of hours. Now I’m not sure if I can trust her anymore. It’s a friendship of years and just because of this hoax, its roots are being pulled.

MLM is not really a scam, I know but people have preferences – things they will or won’t do. These opportunities are not something that everyone would grab. And that does mean that some will join in their own accord but you mustn’t deceive people by OMITTING information on the first call / text. We’re not asking for a loooooong text message saying everything about your company like your Mission and Vision statements, nothing like that. A short, straight-up informative message would be nice so that the person you are calling can decide with complete details on weighing what to do.

Still, if that’s their modus operandi or “method of operation”, it’s hardly that a method would change, right? I just hope everybody’s warned. Thanks again.

    Cheers.

  150. i think that nuskin, synergy one global,, is a cult. i dont want to spread hate because i have friends there but i decided to stop because it made me hate the kind of person that ive become. people, it’s all in the manual. deceive the person first. then slid the business down his or her throat. pretend to care for them by asking questions that will make them think that they have no other choice in life but to join your business. the people of nuskin think that they are better than anyone else while missing the point in the process. they can be such push-offs. if you are from nuskin and you’re reading this, look at the system. do you think it decent to teach your downlines to deceive people?? Guys, you never briefed me that it can be too emotionally draining. it made me think that i havent been trying hard and that i have a poor mindset and that if it’s not nuskin, it is dead end.

and why did i say it’s a cult? you believe that you can get whatever you want through the success formula. speaking, declaring it confidently as if trying to call it, visualizing that the money is in your hands. sounds good. you believe in Napoleon Hill and the Power of the Spoken Word, so if you’re not doing good in your business, something might be wrong with the way you think, or you don’t believe bad enough. that idea ruined a lot of people more than you can imagine. It’s not faith, people. It’s called occult.

  151. Synergy Business Development says:

Watch out guys. They’re using a slightly different name of “Synergy Business Development”. I asked for their website, and they gave me http://synergybusinessdevelopment.com/ which was obviously about network marketing (business model as endorsed by Robert Kiyosaki, mentioning about 95% of the population ending up as dead broke after 40 years of working, etc.). It’s not that I have anything against network marketing. But their recruitment strategy is completely deceiving, flawed, and unprofessional.

This Dennis Navera (the one who called me; 0905 541 4764 & 0923 188 9144) asked me to meet up somewhere in Ortigas for a consultancy project brief. At first I couldn’t make it to the brief so he scheduled me another slot which was held at a different place but also in Ortigas. The funny this is, he couldn’t describe what their company is all about in our texts. He also wanted me to bring a pen, ID, and paper. WOW. No resume needed? LOL. Quite obvious as other companies would be sending emails instead of calls and texts and would be giving a very clear description about their company.

I don’t wanna be redundant so just same points as the entries above. Be careful guys
