This is the question I would like to ask today. Where is wordpress 2.5? According to the wordpress roadmap, it should have been released last March 10, 2008. However, a week later, it still has not showed up.

I’m not sure if you feel the same way but I’m really excited for wordpress 2.5. I’m sure that it will have a lot of new features just like when wordpress 2.3 came out. Remember the guides I wrote when wordpress 2.3 came out?

• Is your blog ready for wordpress 2.3? - This guide is still applicable for this upgrade so you may want to read that. However, there’s a more comprehensive write-up for this, and it’s called, Wordpress Upgrade Preparation Checklist.
• How to upgrade to wordpress 2.3? - I’m going to reuse this post since I think the mechanism for the upgrade is just the same.

Update: I’ve been browsing around the wordpress site and learned that Wordpress may be out either today or tomorrow depending on your timezone. Source

When wordpress 2.5 comes out, rest assured that I’m going to do my best to write a guide on how to upgrade safely. I’ll be your guinea pig so that if something goes wrong with my upgrade, at least you will know and I hope you won’t repeat what I did.
